摘要： A steering column bearing is comprised of an outer bush and an inner bush held in the outer bush. The outer bush includes: an inner ring having a lip portion and a retaining protrusion formed projectingly along the circumferential direction at a predetermined interval from the lip portion in an axial direction; an outer ring having protrusions; a support leg by which an outer peripheral surface portion of the inner ring not corresponding to a hollow cylindrical recess and an inner peripheral surface portion of the outer ring corresponding to that outer peripheral surface portion are integrally connected to each other in the circumferential direction; and reinforcing ribs each of which extends from an outer peripheral surface portion of the inner ring corresponding to the lip portion to the support leg, and integrally connects the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring, the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring, and the support leg.

摘要： A flexible joint (1) for an automobile exhaust system includes a flexible bellows (8) for sealing the communication between the engine and the tail pipe (2) with first (3) and second flanges (5) fixed to the respective members and interconnected by coupling shafts (12) that are fixed at one end to one of the flanges (5) and passed loosely through the other flange (3) whereby compression springs (15,16) that surround the coupling shafts (12) serve together with the bellows (8) to provide support capable of accommodating relative axial and angular deflections between the members. One of the flanges is so configured and disposed with respect to the bellows (8) as to limit the amount of angular deflection imposed on the bellows (8). Damping sleeves (17,18) composed of compressed wire mesh material operate to dampen vibrations imposed on the joint (1).

摘要： A seismic isolating bearing for supporting a building on a foundation includes a laminated body adapted to be interposed vertically between the upper and lower structures. The laminated body comprises alternately arranged viscoelastic layers and stiffener plates, having a hole defined vertically therein, and an energy absorber assembly disposed in the hole, for absorbing energy applied thereto. The energy absorber assembly comprises a lead block inserted in the hole, with the lead block having an intermediate portion held against an inner circumferential surface of the hole. The energy absorber assembly also has a viscoelastic cylindrical body disposed between an outer circumferential surface of at least one of upper and lower end portions of the lead block and the inner circumferential surface of the hole.
