    • An immunopotentiator having an effect of activating the immunity of living organisms when orally taken. This immunopotentiator contains hemicellulose and/or its partially digested product obtained from external skin of corn. It is favorable that the hemicellulose is obtained by eliminating starch and protein from external skin of corn and extracting the residue with an alkali. It is favorable that the partially digested product of hemicellulose is obtained by further treating hemicellulose, which is obtained by eliminating starch and protein from external skin of corn and extracting the residue with an alkali, with xylanase. It is still favorable that the weight-average molecular weight thereof is from 20,000 to 200,000.

    • A method for recovering cyclodextrin from an inclusion compound of cyclodextrin with a guest compound, comprising passing an aqueous solution containing the inclusion compound through a non-polar, high-porous hydrophobic adsorption resin having styrene as a basic skeleton, preferably a cross-linked copolymer of styrene with divinylbenzene, such that the adsorption resin preferentially adsorbs the guest compound resulting in its removal from the solution. The method enables economical recovery of cyclodextrin in a good efficiency and at a high purity from inclusion compounds of cyclodextrin with guest compounds such as cholesterol and other lipids.
