    • Pedal-crank drive with two chain circuits lying one behind the other in the power flow and a shiftable chain gear in the primary circuit, and having a front sprocket arranged in an axially displaceable manner in this circuit. In order to avoid the off-course running of the chain from the front sprocket to the individual pinions, the drive is divided up into two chains lying one behind the other in the power flow. The two circuits jointly use an additional spindle which receives the torque via the chain and the gear-shifting pinions and transmits it via the secondary front sprocket and the secondary chain to the rear-wheel pinion. In addition to this chain the primary chain circuit includes the axially moving primary front sprocket and the additional joint spindle with the pushed-on gear-changing pinions. At the same time, this spindle including the secondary front sprocket belongs to the secondary chain and the rear-wheel pinion belongs to the secondary chain circuit. The axially displaceable primary front sprocket is in each case displaced into a position which lies opposite the gear-shifting pinion occupied by the primary chain. As a result, the ideal chain line is always maintained. The secondary chain runs from the secondary front sprocket to the driving pinion of the rear wheel. Here too the ideal chain line is maintained.

    • The invention relates to a tractor-operated working appliance with at least one implement (1) which is guided between plants (6a, 6b) of a plant row, especially between young trees or shrubs in or above the ground, whilst, as seen in the direction of travel (B) of the tractor, it is pivoted, at a specific distance in front of each plant, out of the space formed between adjacent plants and past the respective plant and, at a specific distance behind this plant, is pivoted into the space between this plant and the next following plant, in that a bar sensor (7) connected pivotably to the working appliance is moved counter to the force of a spring when encountering the respective plant and, via control means, initiates the pivoting movement of the implement (1). The object of the invention is to provide a working appliance of this type, which guarantees that, when the bar sensor butts against the bark of the plant for the purpose of controlling the movement of the implement, damage to the bark is reliably prevented. The object is achieved in that the surface region (9) of the bar sensor (7) coming into bearing contact with the respective plant is provided with bristles (10).
