    • A system including a knowledge model is provided. The system includes an interface for presenting a relationship between two entities of a knowledge model. The interface includes a method that accepts a first input representative of a selection of a first interface item, the first interface item associated with an entity of the knowledge model. The method also includes presenting, in response to the acceptance, a second interface item, the second interface item associated with a second entity of the knowledge model, wherein the second entity has a relationship with the selected entity and the relationship has a relationship type selected from the group consisting of a direct relationship type or a derived relationship type. Finally, the method also includes presenting a relationship indicia representative of the relationship between the first entity and the second entity.

    • Methods and apparatus for active relationship management. A computer implemented method for relationship management includes receiving a list of one or more enterprises. The method includes identifying one or more individuals associated with at least one of the enterprises. The method includes receiving information related to a topic of interest. The method includes parsing the received topic information into units of data. The method includes searching the units of data for one or more quotes. The method includes determining whether a found quote is related to any of the identified individuals. The method includes associating, if the found quote is determined to be related to one or more of the identified individuals, the quote found with the one or more individuals. The method includes storing the quote in a database.

    • The present invention provide a graphical application for guiding a user through an end-to-end process for addressing a problem. The graphical application prompts users to define the problem in a logical, consistent way. Once the problem in defined, the application further directs the users through a systematic processing for solving the problem, including structuring ideas for addressing the problem, investigating the problem, generating findings on the ideas, and generating further additional ideas in response to the generated findings on the existing ideas. The structuring of the ideas may be done through the creation of an issue tree, and the investigation of the problem may be structured through a research plan. Once a solution developed, the invention may further guide users in the presentation of the proposed solution, including the creation of a message plan, a process pyramid, and/or a story board depicting the solution.

    • Disclosed herein are systems, electronic tools and related methods for integrating the business rules, processes, and technology necessary to enable collaboration between personal office management applications, which are used by individuals on a daily basis to organize personal contacts, appointment calendars, and tasks, with sales force management applications, which are used to manage client and account contact information and coordinate the pursuit of business opportunities across an organization. Users of both applications can have their data electronically synchronized to share specifically designated information automatically within the applications. The information designated for synchronization can be of three types having different rules regarding their sharing among the applications, wherein the types include business contacts, sales force activities, and opportunity tasks. Users can thereby manage a large synchronized base of business contacts via both their personal office management application and a sales force management application, synchronize sales force activities from their personal office management application into the sales force management application, and assign client or account opportunity action items to other users in the organization via the sales force management application, and then have those action items automatically appear to the assigned user in that assigned user's personal office management application as a task.
