    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel hydroxide powder for a secondary battery positive electrode, having improved intraparticle characteristics, such as the cycle life, the electric conductivity, the improved high-temperature performance, and the like, without reducing the capacity.SOLUTION: A positive electrode particle includes: a first or inside active positive electrode material having a composition maximizing a second characteristic; and a second or outside active positive electrode material having a composition maximizing a first characteristic. The second or outside active positive electrode material is arranged around the first or inside active positive electrode material so as to surround the inside active positive electrode material completely. The second or outside active positive electrode material has a mass equal to at least 10% of the mass of the positive electrode particle. The positive electrode particle has the first characteristic decided mainly by the second or outside active positive electrode material, and the second characteristic decided mainly by a combination of the first or inside active positive electrode material and the second or outside active positive electrode material.
