SOLUTION: In a device for measuring the distance of an object by use of a number of ultrasonic converters, the ultrasonic converter is formed of an electrostatic ultrasonic converter, which is formed of superposed layers 3, 4, 5. The ultrasonic converter has a fixed electrode 1 for ultrasonic converter and the first metal layer 3 having a pattern conductor to be connected to the electrode 1 which is patterned thereon. The insulating layer 4 and the metal layer 5 with the flat whole surface which is arranged on this insulating layer 4 to form the counter electrode of the electrode 1 formed by the first metal layer 3 are connected to the metal layer 3.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noises from generating by providing a magnetic toothed disk having the same diameter as the gear on one side of the gear, and providing a different number of teeth from the gear on the toothed disc. SOLUTION: Gears 1, 7 meshing with each other are provided on shafts 3, 9. The gear 1 is a fixed gear and has a boss projection 4. A magnetic toothed disk 2 is provided on the projection 4. The number of teeth 10 of the magnetic toothed disc 2 is less than the number of teeth of the gear 1 by one. The magnetic toothed disc 2 is formed out of plastics having magnetic material. By combination of magnetic characteristic of the toothed disc 2 provided on the gear 1, the teeth of the loose gear 7 are always contacted with the teeth of the gear 1 or the toothed disc 2, and hence transmission noise is obstructed. By difference of the number of teeth between the gear 1 and the magnetic toothed disc 2, this effect is assisted, by displacement of the magnetic toothed disc 2 against the gear 1 generated in the engagement territory of gears, dragging moment is transmitted to the loose gear 7, and the loose gear 7 effectively absorbs the collision of even larger moment.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor the conversion rate of exhaust catalyst continuously and accurately during operation of internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: Measuring points 4, 5 are set on an exhaust duct 2 in order to measure exhaust temperatures TAV, TAN continuously. The measurements are passed through effective value filters 7, 8 to output temperature values TVf, TNf which are employed in a controller for determining an actual temperature difference DTI. On the other hand, a target temperature difference DTS is read out from a target value characteristic memory SKF for the r.p.m. of internal combustion engine, the exhaust temperature TA in the exhaust duct and the fuel injection MKS of internal combustion engine. The target temperature difference DTS is converted through a target value filter 12 into an output value DSf which is compared through a comparator K with the temperature difference DTI. If the output value DSf is larger in a time window read out from a time characteristic map tK, the comparator K outputs a signal KA which is subjected to validity check before outputting a monitor signal. With such method, a medium 3 can be monitored continuously with high accuracy during operation.

A measurement rod 12 having measurement graduations 11 formed as teeth between the plungers 9 and 10 is fixed and connected to the plungers 9, 10. The translation motion of the plungers 9, 10 is converted into the rotary movement by a gear 13 fitted in the rod 12 and is transmitted to a rotary potentiometer.
