摘要： Apparatus for producing a color picture on recording paper in response to a color video signal includes a cylindrical platen having the recording paper circumferentially embraced about at least a portion thereof; a multi-color tape of the thermal transfer type having black, cyan, magenta and yellow colored pigments arranged in lengthwise strips on the tape; a head transfer carriage adapted for movement along the platen in the lengthwise direction thereof; black, cyan, magenta and yellow head groups associated with the black, cyan, magenta and yellow colored pigment strips of the tape and mounted on the head transfer carriage in close proximity to the surface of the platen so that the tape is situated between the head groups and the recording paper, each head group including eight heads for transferring the color of the respective pigment strip with which it is associated to the recording paper; and a control device for controlling movement of the head transfer carriage and head groups in the lengthwise direction of the platen, rotation of the platen, and operation of the heads of each head group for recording respective colors on the recording paper so as to produce the color picture thereon, the control section including a separation circuit for separating cyan, magenta and yellow color signals from the color video signal, color memory circuits for storing one frame of the respective color signals, and a control section for controlling operation of the memory circuits to supply the color signals to the heads.

摘要： In a recording and reproducing apparatus in which a video signal is recorded by at least one rotary head in successive parallel tracks on a recording medium while the latter is being driven at a predetermined or standard speed in a direction to which said tracks are skewed, and in which the recorded video signal is reproduced by the rotary head repeatedly scanning the recording medium while the latter is selectively driven at the standard speed, as in the normal reproducing mode, or at an arbitrary speed other than such standard speed, for example, at zero speed for the still-motion reproducing mode, or at speeds less than and greater than the standard speed for the slow-motion and quick-motion reproducing modes, respectively; a variable delay circuit is operative during reproducing with the recording medium being driven at an arbitrary speed other than standard speed for variably delaying the video signal reproduced by said rotary head, and a control circuit controls the amounts by which the variable delay circuit delays the reproduced video signal in accordance with the arbitrary speed to cause fields of the reproduced video signal which are contiguous or next adjacent in point of time to be continuous in the delayed video signal and to contain respective horizontal synchronizing signals which are in predetermined phase relationships to each other, that is, precisely in phase or out of phase by one-half horizontal period, as when even- and odd-numbered fields are to be interlaced.

摘要： A multi-channel recording and/or reproducing apparatus is disclosed, wherein a plurality of rotary magnetic heads scan a magnetic tape to form a plurality of skewed parallel tracks simultaneously. These heads are aligned substantially in the scanning direction on a single head base plate. Preferably, these heads are so secured as to form parallel skewed tracks without guardbands therebetween. Each head has the same thickness, and is mounted on a head base. Even though the thickness of each head chip is the same, effective head gaps are formed to have different heights individually from the surface of the head base plate. When forming guardband-less plural tracks, an azimuth recording technique is introduced in order to avoid crosstalk between adjacent channels during reproduction.

摘要： A radio receiver with a phase-locked loop demodulator is described. The phase-locked loop includes a phase comparator, a variable frequency (voltage-controlled) oscillator, and a low pass filter. The capture range and lock range of the phase-locked loop are controlled in response to the tuning of the loop. In an AM receiver with a phase-locked loop the variable frequency oscillator of the loop supplies a reference carrier for a synchronous detector which is phase-locked to a modulated carrier. A band pass filter eliminates undesired modulation of the variable frequency oscillator by an undesired received signal.

摘要： A generating circuit regenerates a color sub-carrier of a PAL color television system on the basis of a reproduced horizontal sync (synchronizing) pulse and a color burst signal. In order to avoid discontinuity of the regenerated sub-carrier due to signal drop-outs, the reproduced sync pulse is supplied to a counter type automatic frequency control (AFC) circuit which can supply a continuous horizontal frequency signal in spite of drop-outs of the reproduced horizontal sync pulse. When the reproduced burst signal is dropped out, the phase of the sub-carrier signal is changed from one phase to another, for example, from +135 DEG to -135 DEG , in order to maintain the swinging conditions of the sub-carrier sequence of the PAL color television system.
