    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact power transmission system for hybrid vehicle, capable of attaining size reduction and high maintainability by disposing an actuator mechanism for activating a driving force interrupting/coupling mechanism with good space efficiency. SOLUTION: This power transmission system for hybrid vehicle, capable of being activated by an engine and an electric motor, includes: an engine; an electric motor; a deceleration mechanism comprising a plurality of gear assembly for decelerating the driving force of the electric motor; a differential system for distributing decelerated driving force by the deceleration mechanism and engine driving force to both left and right driving wheels; and a driving force interrupting/coupling mechanism mounted onto the deceleration mechanism. With this constitution, the actuator mechanism which activates the driving force interrupting/coupling mechanism is positioned between the electric motor and the differential system, so as to be aligned with the electric motor in the axial direction thereof.     • PURPOSE:To precisely control torque output by providing a pressing device for applying pressure to resistance plates for contact with each other and a cam mechanism for feeding back torque to the pressing device. CONSTITUTION:An inner sleeve 3 and a housing 5 are coaxially so arranged as to be capable of relative rotation. A plurality of resistance plates 13 are splined to the external surface of an inner hub 7 and a plurality of resistance plates 15 splined to the inner surface of a slide hub 9. The piston 41 of a piston device 55 presses the resistance plates 13 and 15 and tightens a clutch, thereby connecting the inner sleeve 3 to the housing 5 via the slide hub 9. A cam mechanism 41 is formed at a position opposite to the housing 5 and the slide hub 9. Output torque is the function of only a pressing force generated by the piston device 35 and released from an effect due to the change of the friction coefficients of the resistance plates 13 and 15. According to the aforesaid construction, torque output can precisely be controlled.
