摘要： The method of increasing the acceleration of a bullet fired from a weapon compresses the gaseous reaction mixt. adiabatically and ignites it, while it acts against the base of the bullet. At least one component of the gas mixt. is obtained by vaporising inflammable fluids. This gasified inflammable liq. is added to the usual gaseous reaction mixt. when this has been adiabatically precompressed to a predetermined degree. It is added in regulated quantities at controlled rates by using conventional components and supply devices.

摘要： 1536672 A device for passing a cable through a sleeve DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 12 Feb 1976 [7 March 1975] 9663/75 Heading F3X A device for passing a cable or cables (not shown) through a sleeve 20 comprises a compressed-gun 10, a nozzle 11 which connects the sleeve to the gun, a piston 14 which is forced through the sleeve by the gun, and a cord 13 which has one end attached to the piston and the other end connected to a reel 12, for example the cord being used to pull the cable or cables through the sleeve. The nozzle 11 has a longitudinal groove 15 which receives the cord 13 therein, has a flange 17 with a hole through which the cord passes into the groove 15 and has grooves 16 which facilitate the retaining of the sleeve on the nozzle. A set of nozzles may be provided for different size sleeves. The piston 14 is one of a set, each of which is 0À8, for example, of the respective sleeve diameter, and is provided with a hole in its stem which receives said one end of the cord. The reel 12 can be mounted on the gun 10 or on the nozzle 11 and is provided with over-run prevention means (not shown).

摘要： The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for recovering sunken wrecks. More particularly, the present invention concerns a method and apparatus for recovering sunken wrecks wherein a harpoon is launched from a submarine device, implants itself in the wreck and is provided with a rope and means for fastening a pull cable. The end of the rope which is remote from the harpoon is floated to the surface. An apparatus placed at the end of the pull cable is caused to descend along the rope, and at the end of the stroke the apparatus automatically fastens itself to the harpoon. Thereupon, the wreck is pulled up by means of the pull cable.

Initially, however, it is an auxiliary supply of gas under pressure bled off from the chamber (21) which causes the projectiles (13) to move forwardly, the main supply through the aperture(s) (22) not taking effect until a seal (25) on the projectile (13) has left the barrel portion (15) of the housing (11), by when the gas in the chamber (21) will have reached the predetermined working pressure.
