摘要： In a normal operating mode, track-bound vehicles report their respective position to a track-side device and the track-side device determines a respective movement authority taking into account the reported positions for the track-bound vehicles and transmits the movement authorities to the respective track-bound vehicle. If a track-bound vehicles is faulty and cannot ensure its integrity, and it is consequently not able to report a valid or reliable position, a switch-over into a fault mode takes place without interrupting the travel operation of the track-bound vehicles. In the fault mode the faulty track-bound vehicle determines a position of one of its vehicle ends and reports the position together with information that it cannot ensure its integrity, to the track-side device. Movement authorities are then determined by the track-side device, taking into account the reported position of the one vehicle end and track vacancy information of a track-side track vacancy system.

摘要： A system and method for determining dynamically changing distributions of vehicles in a vehicle system are disclosed. The system and method determine handling parameters of the vehicle system. The handling parameters are determined for different distributions of the vehicles among different groups at different potential change points along a route. The system and method also determine whether to change the distributions at potential change points based on the handling parameters. Based on determining that the distributions are to change, a selected sequence of changes to the distributions is determined at one or more of the potential change points along the route. Change indices are generated based on the selected sequence. The change indices designate times and/or the one or more potential change points at which the distributions changes. The vehicles included in a common group have common designated operational settings while the vehicles are in the common group.

摘要： A method and apparatus for continuous supervision of both a vehicle's speed and deceleration over a track, provides overspeed detection in one set of conditions and under-deceleration detection under other conditions. The apparatus does not provide automatic driving, but is used in conjunction with either automatic driving equipment or manual driving of the vehicle. The process involved comprises the steps of transmitting to the vehicle an exit speed, defined as a speed limit to be observed on leaving a particular block section of the track upon which the vehicle travels. The exit speed is stored in the vehicle, and comparisons are made with a stored exit speed for the preceding block section. The process further includes a continuous measurement of both actual speed and deceleration of the vehicle, and provides for initiation of emergency braking dependent upon the results of the comparison and measurement steps. Specifically, where the present exit speed equals or exceeds the exit speed of the preceding section, emergency braking is initiated subsequent to a predetermined delay where the actual speed exceeds the exit speed for the particular block section. Where the present exit speed is less than the exit speed for the preceding section, emergency braking is initiated when the measured deceleration is less than a predetermined deceleration.
