    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flux of light utilization rate of the light from a light-emitting element, in a lamp for vehicle using the light-emitting element as the light source.
      SOLUTION: A light-emitting element 12 is arranged facing frontward at the vicinity of the optical axis Ax, extending in the longitudinal direction of a lamp unit and a translucent member 14 is arranged at the front side of this light-emitting element 12. The front face 4a of this translucent member 14 is constructed of ellipsoid of revolution with the optical axis Ax being the center axis, and the back end face 14b is formed to pass a first focus F1 of the back side of this ellipsoid of revolution. Further, a reflector 16, having a reflection surface 16a formed so as to surround a light-emitting chip 14a in a nearly cylindrical shape, is provided between the light-emitting element 12 and the translucent member 14 so that its front end aperture 16c contacts the rear end face 14b of the translucent member 14. Thereby, the direct light, from the light-emitting element 12 and the light, once reflected or plural times at the reflecting surface 16a of the reflector 16 are made to enter the translucent member 14, and flux of light utilization rate of the light from the light-emitting element 12 is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a vehicle capable of properly lighting a straight moving direction of the vehicle, while properly lighting steering directions at the time of left and right steering. SOLUTION: Irradiating directions of lamps provided on left and right sides of the vehicle are continuously increased corresponding to an increase of a steering angle till the steering angle reaches a prescribed steering angle, and the left and right lamps are held to specified deflection angles when the steering angle is more than the prescribed steering angle. In the lamp on the steering direction side, the specified deflection angle is increased more than that of the lamp on an opposite side. When the steering angle is small, the left and right lamps are deflected in almost the same state to light the straight moving direction or an advancing direction of the vehicle. When the steering angle is increased, the advancing direction is lighted by the lamp on the steering direction side, and a region on the straight moving direction side instead of the advancing direction is lighted by the lamp on an opposite side.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide variable light distribution among travelling beam light distribution, low beam light distribution and turning light distribution without involving an increase in cost and in size of a device. SOLUTION: Each of right and left lamps has a turning/travelling beam light distribution lamp part and a low beam light distribution lamp part. The turning/travelling beam light distribution lamp part has a reflector constructed by a turning reflector and a travelling beam reflector and a light source constructed as a double filament light source. The turning reflectors of the left and right lamps are arranged in mutually opposite directions with their optical axes inclined to the left or right. A change over between each of the low beam light distribution P1, the travelling beam light distribution and the turning light distribution T1 (T2) and a combined light distribution P3 with the low beam light distribution P1 is allowed by controlling the lighting of the double filament light source and the low beam light distribution lamp part.
