    • PURPOSE:To enable to separate a long cylinder into a specified length after molding easily and to contrive an improvement in continuous molding efficiency of the cylinder, by feeding a plastic sheet to a cylinder molding device by providing separable slits on the sheet in a widthward direction of the sheet at specified intervals. CONSTITUTION:Cylinders are molded continuously by providing slits 2 on the thermoplastic sheet S at intervals corresponding to the desirable length (l) of the cylinder by a slitting device 1 and joining together thermally further lines of the sheet S overlapped each other after supply of the sheet S to a cylinder molding device 3 at a fixed speed. A long cylinder can be separated easily into cylinders length of each of which is (l) by applying simply a little force to a remaining part of the slits 2. As the cylinder is fed to a bottoming process immediately after its separation, the whole process from molding through cutting-off to bottoming is completed during a chain of belt production, the cylinder is prevented reliably from deforming and operation efficiency and accuracy can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a subject pipe in which an overlapping part is completely adhered, by a method wherein, after a laminate tape, in which an adhering agent is laminated on a metal tape, is formed in the shape of a pipe, compressing bodies, to which magnetic properties are provided, are mounted to the inside and the outside of an overlapping part, and the overlapping part is compressed by a magnetic force for adhering. CONSTITUTION:In case a pipe, consisting of a tape in which an adhering agent is laminated on a metal tape, is manufactured, after a laminate tape 1 is conveyed to a forming dice 8 or a roll to form it in the shape of a pipe, an overlapping part 11 is heated by a heating device 9. A compressing body, making contact with the inside of the overlapping part 11 of a preliminarily-forming pipe 10, and a compressing body, contacting the outside thereof, are located to a position where to follow a process to heat the overlapping part by hot blast, magnetic properties are provided to either or both of the compressing bodies, and a compressing force exerted by a magnetic force is exercised on the overlapping part 11 to adhere the part 11. For example, a magnetic compressing body 12 such as iron is located to the inside and a magnet roll 13 to the outside, and the compressing body 12 is pulled by a magnetic force to compress and adhere the overlapping part.
