摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a machining center that is able to keep its long service life as any undue force is not imposed on an interval between a column part, and each base frame in time of moving a double housing beam even if there is produced a strain due to a temperature difference or setup error between a base end and a tip because each base frame becomes lengthened. CONSTITUTION:This is a machining center which is attached with a cutter unit 6 provided with a cutter head 60 shiftable in all directions while made shiftable by a shifting mechanism on each of base frames 1 and 2 provided with a double housing beam, whose double ends are supported by columns, at both sides. This machining center is featured in a rail 16 and each guide 7 set up in a space between a column part 5 on one side, constituting a double housing beam 3, and this beam so as to make the beam 3 relatively shiftable on the column part in the orthogonal direction with a direction where this beam 3 travels on the base frame 1, or further each of turning bearings 21 and 22 is interposed in the point midway in the column part and a spot between a beam part and the column part otherwise.
