    • The present invention relates to a system for reversible sealing of a fixed dental prosthesis (1) on an artificial supporting means secured to the jaw of a patient, comprising: - a reversible vacuum pump (2) connected to a connector (4) by a length of tubing (5) for either drawing up or blowing air via the connector (4); - a reversible mechanism (3) secured to the prosthesis (1), which is in the form of a microvalve (31) that can be connected to the connector (4) and integrated, preferably bonded in a leaktight manner, in a diffusion chamber which ends in a skirt (32) that communicates with a cap (8) located in the region of the supporting means, these elements being configured for reversibly producing a vacuum or reversibly creating a low pressure in an interstitial space between the prosthesis (1) and the supporting means, at the site where the sealing should be carried out, when the reversible vacuum pump (2) is connected to the reversible mechanism (3) in the drawing-up mode; - wherein said artificial supporting means that can be secured to the jaw of the patient comprises a hollow volume; - an isolation (11) of said supporting means, configured so as to maintain the vacuum or the low pressure in said interstitial space.

    • A locator or signaling device and a detector system for locating lost dentures includes a button or insert (50A) that can be mounted on the surface of an existing denture (10). An insert (50A) can also be implanted in a new denture. The internal signaling component is surrounded by a resin layer that can be used to bond the locator button (50A) to the existing denture and will also isolate the internal signaling component from the denture wearer's oral cavity. The internal signaling component is responsive to an electromagnetic field and emits a detectable signal when the denture is located with a specified interrogation zone or search area. The preferred location of the locator, locator strip (60), maker or button (50A) is on the interior lingual surface of the flange of a mandibular denture (20). The denture can also include an RF passive transponder (200) embedded therein which can be detected at short range by a portable detector (210).
