摘要： In a recording and/or reproducing apparatus of the kind arranged to cause a tape extending along the front side of an opening part of a tape cassette to be relatively wrapped around the circumferential surface of a rotary drum by causing the rotary drum to enter the opening part of the tape cassette from its front side, there is provided a tape-height-restricting tape guide including a roller part which has at least its circumferential surface made of an elastic material for bringing the tape into pressed contact with a capstan and a flange part which is provided with a cutout part for avoiding the capstan. The tape guide is disposed within the opening part of the tape cassette.

摘要： Dust free tape cassette comprises a cassette case and a front lid for holding protectively therein a magnetic tape being wound on reels which are supported by a pair of shafts stationary provided in the cassette case. A loading pocket being open at a bottom of the cassette case for accepting tape drawing members and reel driving members of tape recording/playback apparatus, is provided behind the front lid. The loading pocket has a rear wall which partitions the reels off the loading pocket, wherein reel flanges which may have gear portions partly protrude into the loading pocket through windows provided on the rear wall so that the magnetic tape housed in the cassette case is well protected from dust invasion and abuse thereof when not loaded into the apparatus, and when loaded the reel driving members enter into the loading pocket and engage with the flanges at their protruded portions to drive thereof. A slidable dust shield is provided for closing and exposing the loading pocket. An apparatus for using the above cassette is also disclosed.

A recording tape is wound on the reels and extends therebetween for transport from one of the reels to the other. The reels in the first relative position conform to a first arrangement of a drive for driving the reels in rotation and afford a predetermined amount of space for accommodating a transducer within the housing for access to the recording tape and in the second relative position conform to a second arrangement of a drive for driving the reels in rotation and afford an additional amount of space for accommodating the transducer within the housing for access to the recording tape.

摘要： An apparatus for recording and/or reproducing video signals on or from a magnetic tape which is helically wound around a cylindrical drum. The drum comprises two axially aligned drum parts which are separated by a gap in which at least one magnetic head rotates during operation. The magnetic head is arranged on an arm which is pivotably mounted on a rotatable disc and which is in a retracted position when the disc is stationary and pivots outwards under the influence of the centrifugal forces when the disc is rotating. The magnetic head is positioned with respect to the tape by means of abutment faces which are provided on the inner surfaces of the drum parts adjacent the gap and cooperate with the pivoting arm. Drum parts and magnetic tape are preferably accommodated in a cassette which is placed on an apparatus which includes the head disc.
