    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive color image forming apparatus in which an image carrier is used in the same period for each color. SOLUTION: By using the image carriers corresponding to several developing colors including black, an exposure device, and a developing device developing an electrostatic latent image with developing color toner, the electrophotographic image forming apparatus forms an image obtained by superposing monochrome or several color toner images on recording material carried by a recording material carrying belt between the respective image carriers. The image carrier has a charge transporting layer formed by using binder resin constituted by blending at least two kinds of resin, and the blend ratio of at least two kinds of binder resin of the black image carrier is different from that of another developing color image carrier, and the wear and abrasion resistance of the black image carrier is more excellent than that of another developing color image carrier.
