    • The present invention relates to a system and a method for weighing a section of a structure (1). The system comprises at least one hydraulic weight sensor device (3), adapted to be placed in at least one slot (2) under the section, a pressure sensor (7) for measuring the pressure in the at least one weight sensor device (3), and a hydraulic system comprising at least one pump unit (5) and at least one valve unit (6) for pumping hydraulic fluid to and from the at least one hydraulic weight sensor device (3) through a hydraulic line (4). The system further comprises a distance sensor (10) for measuring the height of the slot (2), a control circuit device (20) for calculating the weight of the section based on measured data received from the pressure sensor (7), and for balancing the section on the basis of the measured data received from the pressure sensor (7) and the distance sensor (10) by controlling the pump unit (5) and the valve unit (6).

    • A mobile weight enforcement vehicle comprising a vehicle body, a hydraulic vehicle weighing scale mechanism, and a computer measurement display, wherein the hydraulic vehicle weighing scale mechanism is disposed on one side of the vehicle body, and has a hydraulic folding mechanism and a rotating mechanism connecting to a retractable scale crutch. The retractable scale crutch may be folded within the vehicle body conveniently and firmly, or be put on the ground outside the vehicle body so as to examine the weight of the loaded vehicles with the mobile scale device. The examining/monitoring results can be indicated on the computer measurement display, where the operations of catching speeding vehicles, stolen vehicles, or any vehicles that violates traffic regulations are also displayed. The invention provides a diversified and highly efficient tool for maintaining the traffic safety.

    • An apparatus for measuring the volume of a liquid delivered in bulk to an outlet storage tank is described. A portable weigh apparatus is provided for transportation to each outlet by the delivery truck. The measuring apparatus includes a plurality of jacks for lifting the storage tank, load cells for sensing the load generated by the lifted storage tank, and a display unit for providing a direct readout of the volume of liquid dispensed into the storage tank. In one embodiment the measuring apparatus comprises a portable wheeled cart. In a second embodiment the measuring apparatus comprises a device of lightweight, foldable construction, which can be lifted and carried by hand from the delivery truck to a position below the storage tank.

    • A load cell is formed in the shape of a pancake so as to be readily accommodated beneath objects to be weighed wherein the vertical clearance is low. The body includes a pancake shaped inner chamber filled with oil, a wall portion of the chamber being thinned to define a diaphragm. Strain gauges connect to the diaphragm which is responsive to pressure changes in the chamber as a consequence of weight tending to squeeze the pancake configuration, the strain gauges providing electrical signals constituting a function of the weight or force applied to the cell.
