    • A device for attaching an element in a frame includes a seating, a supply path via which the element to be attached is brought to the seating, and a pivotable member. In a first position of the pivotable member, a first end thereof is situated in the supply path. In a second position, the first end is situated outside the supply path and a second end of the pivotable member to move the pivotable member between its first and second positions. The first position of the pivotable element is an overcenter position in which the relative positions of the pivotable member's pivot point, the seated element, and the point of contact between the seated element and the first end of the pivotable member are arranged to retain the seated element in place within the seating. In the second position of the pivotable member, the transport device moves the element via the supply path into and out of position in the seating.

    • A system for replacing a filled cloth roller with an empty cloth roller for a loom is comprised of two rotatable shafts which are oppositely disposed and respectively supported by side frames of the loom. Each rotatable shaft is fixedly provided with an engaging member engageable with an end section of the cloth roller. The two rotatable shafts are automatically driven to move axially under the action of a pneumatically operated actuator, so that the engaging members are disengaged respectively from the opposite end sections of the cloth roller for the purpose of removing the filled cloth roller from the loom while engaged respectively with the same end sections for the purpose of installing the empty cloth roller to the loom. One of the rotatable shafts is driven from a loom main shaft to rotate the cloth roller, thus taking up a woven cloth on the cloth roller during the weaving operation of the loom.

    • A carriage for inserting warp beams into a weaving machine includes a frame with rollers thereon for allowing movement of the carriage with respect to a floor or other support surface. The carriage includes support arms having front ends for engagement with the journal of the warp beam for raising and lowering the warp beam as needed. The front ends of the support arm may be displaced with respect to the frame along a path which is transverse to the axis of the warp beam. It therefore becomes unnecessary, when inserting a warp beam into a weaving machine, to move the carriage as a whole transversely into the weaving machine to deposit the warp beam in the correct location on holders in the weaving machine.

    • The invention concerns a mechanical loom comprising a machine (1), a change-over arrangement (2), a support arrangement (3) and an arrangement (6) for delivering warp threads. The change-over arrangement comprises a loom back rest, a warp-monitoring unit (38), a heald-frame holding arrangement and a reed and is coupled to the machine (1) or the support arrangement (3) such that the change-over arrangement with the heald-frames, reed and a drawn-in article can be replaced as a storage unit. The connection between the change-over arrangement (2) and the arrangement (6) for delivering warp threads to a change-over unit (31) constitutes a further article-changing system. Owing to these different change-over systems, the change-over of articles is substantially simpler and less time-consuming.
