The ribbon (62) is fed through the exit (63) such that an end of the ribbon (62) is external of the housing (61) for display purposes. When the dispenser (60) is engaged with the holder (50) the cover (66) clamps the ribbon (62) at the exit (63). Hence, the ribbon (62) may be locked at either end of the external region (65) by the single act of engaging the dispenser (60) with the holder (50).
