The cover has a portion which fits inside the container and is provided with a flexible sealing member which extends radially beyond the edge of the cover. The flexible member becomes deflected upon insertion into the container and frictionally engages the inside wall surface of the container. An opening is provided in the cover for permitting air to flow into and out of the container.

摘要： A closure for a container comprises a circular closure plate (2, 4), integral with the outer edge of which is a depending skirt (8), integrally connected to the lower end of which by means of a resilient annular integral hinge (10) is an annular flange (12), which extends generally upwardly and inwardly. The closure also includes a cutter assembly which includes a cutting blade (38) and is mounted to rotate about the centre of the closure plate (2, 4). The integral hinge (10) has a hole formed in it through which the cutting blade (38) extends. Rotation of the cutter assembly about the centre of the closure plate thus results in cutting of the integral hinge (10) and thus in release of the closure plate (2, 4) and the depending skirt (8) from the annular flange (12).

The lid (1, 2) is flush with the front side of the box (3) when the abutments or the vertexes (9) bear against the bottom (12) of the box or against projections (11) on the sides (6) of the box. Between the front pane (1) and the plate (2) a transparency may be inserted. When the transparency is to be removed a pressure is exerted at one of the corners of the front pane (1). The corners of the other diagonal of the front pane then turn up above the front edge of the box in such a way that these corners may be grasped and the lid (1, 2) removed. By reassembling a pressure is exerted at the middle of the lid (1, 2) until the vertexes (9) bear against the bottom of the box (12) or the projections (11).

摘要： A sealing unit for sealing a jar includes an inner cap having a flange and an outer groove is defined in the outer periphery of the flange. A resilient ring has a bent portion which is engaged with the outer groove. An outer cap has an annular recess in the underside thereof and the flange of the inner cap is engaged with the annular recess. The outer cap has an inner groove defined in the inner wall thereof and the resilient ring is engaged with the inner groove. A linking member extends through the outer cap and is connected to the inner cap. A lever is pivotably connected to the linking member so as to drive the linking member which moves the inner cap upward to squeeze the resilient ring to be deformed so as to seal the smooth inner periphery of the opening of the jar.
