摘要： The present invention relates to a method of jointing multilayer pipes and a pipeline formed by multilayer pipes. According to the method there is formed at least one aperture in the pipe wall at the joint, the aperture extending to through the wall from the non-conductive layer to the conductive layer, and the aperture is filled with conductive material, which forms a conductive bridge from the conductive layer through the non-conductive layer to the outside thereof for grounding of the conductive layer. By means of the invention, the pipes can be grounded without a change in the dimensions of the pipe or in the pressure rating of the pipe.

摘要： An electrofusion fitting (1) for a composite plastics pipe (2), the pipe (2) comprising at least one inner plastics layer (5), at least one outer plastics layer (5) and at least one barrier layer (6) therebetween, the fitting (1) comprising a tubular body (14) formed at least in part from a thermoplastic polymer material and adapted to receive a cut end of the pipe, and a plurality of electric heating elements (24, 25) disposed within the body (14), the body (14) having a first section (20) adapted to receive a length of the inner plastics layer (5) and a second section (22) adapted to receive a cut-back length of the outer plastics layer (4), each of the first and second sections (20, 22) being provided with a discrete heating element (24, 25) adapted, when energized, to make a fusion joint between the section and its adjacent pipe layer, such that the exposed barrier layer (6) at the cut end of the pipe (2) is environmentally sealed on each side by a fusion joint (1).

摘要： A fusion welding socket for use when coupling together plastic pipes. The socket (18) is adapted to receive the pipe parts (1, 2) to be coupled together with a tight fit. The diameter of the ends (19) of the socket (18) is greater than the diameter of the socket along an intermediate part (20) and the diameter at said ends is adapted to receive with a tight fit an outer pipe (1) and the diameter of the intermediate part is adapted to receive with a tight fit an inner pipe (2) of a double-pipe conduit which includes two coaxial pipes and a leakage detection space (3) therebetween. The socket (18) includes coils (24-27) comprising resistance wires or filaments which enable the socket material to be fused locally together with the material in both the outer pipes (1) and the inner pipes (2) of two double-pipe conduits that are to be coupled together with the aid of the socket. The socket also includes at least one passageway (21) which interconnects the spaces in the socket on both sides of the intermediate socket part (20).

摘要： An improved welding rod having a solid homogeneous core of thermoplastic material and a resistance element comprised of a plurality of wires is presented with a method and apparatus for forming the welding rod. The welding rod is positioned between members of the thermoplastic material to be welded and a current and pressure is applied to the resistance element causing the thermoplastic material of the solid core and the adjacent thermoplastic members to fuse and form a unitary weld. Simultaneously the electrical resistance element is embedded in the weld, mechanically reinforcing and strengthening the connection. There is also disclosed a method for electric fusion welding of thermoplastic members wherein the welding rod is pre-attached to one of the thermoplastic members.

摘要： A body sleeve (4) obtained by widening of a pipe is arranged on a mandrel on which spaced spirals (7) of a resistance wire (6) are wound. By heating the body sleeve (4), it is fixed onto the winding. An electric current circulating in the resistance wire causes the thermoplastic to melt and flow around the spirals for enclosing the latter completely by expansion. Further, the material forms projecting sections (8, 9) next to the winding. Hence, the spirals (7) are protected against accidentals shocks and the recessed end parts (5) of the inner wall which have been deformed inwards during manufacture require no further forming.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for welding at least two plastic pipes (10, 11) or compound pipes together using a tubular sleeve body (12) which covers the plastic pipes to be connected, and a heating device (17) for heating at least sections of contact surfaces on the inner periphery of the sleeve body and/or on the outer periphery of the plastic pipes to establish a welded bond in the region of the contact surfaces, the ends (22) of the plastic pipes being sealed as well in a pressure -tight manner. For this purpose, the sleeve body (12) has at least one stop (16) on its interior, which stop projects inward and the radially projecting end in relation to the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve body corresponds approximately to the wall thickness of the pipe (10, 11) in the region of the end (22) to be sealed. Heating elements (18) arranged in the region of the stop (16) allow the specific introduction of heat in this region and the ends of the pipes to be welded with the stop.
