    • An in-mold shutter (140) for embedding in an injection mold (100, 200, 300) is described herein. The in-mold shutter (140, 240, 340, 440, 540) includes a shutter actuator (148, 548) that is configured to selectively engage a first mold shoe (130) of the injection mold (100, 200, 300) with a platen of a mold clamping assembly (996) to hold the first mold shoe (130) in an extended position (E), along a mold-stroke axis (X), during a step of molding a first molded article (102A) in the injection mold (100, 200, 300). Also described herein is a molded article transfer device (150, 250) for use with the injection mold (100, 200, 300). The molded article transfer device (150, 250) includes a shuttle (154) that is slidably arranged, in use, within the injection mold (100, 200, 300). The shuttle (154) defines a first aperture (156A), at least in part, that alternately accommodates: (i) a first mold stack (106A, 206A, 306A) arranged therein; and (ii) a first molded article (102A) received therein with opening of the first mold stack (106A, 206A, 306A).

    • A mold includes upper and lower mold members and a machine control unit. The lower mold member includes a support board, a molding mechanism mounted on the support board, and an ejection mechanism. The support board forms a receiving compartment. The molding mechanism includes a mold cavity. The machine control unit is mounted in the receiving compartment of the support board and includes an optic sensor. With the arrangement of the optic sensor of the machine control unit, the mold can detect the returned and non-returned statuses of the ejection mechanism and transmits the result of detection to the molding machine of the mold, whereby the molding machine can be timely and correctly informed of the status of the ejection mechanism for correctly issuing a subsequent operation instruction. In this way, the potential risk that the mold is damaged by improper operation of the molding machine can be eliminated.

    • A torque waveform of an ejecting device when a molded product is normally ejected is memorized in a memory device 12 as a normal waveform. A sampling device 11 samples a torque waveform of the ejecting device at predetermined time intervals to produce a detected waveform when the molded product is ejected. Threshold levels are set in a controlling device 13 at arbitrary time intervals by a first setting device 14 and set operations for specifying the operations of an injection molding machine are also set in the controlling device 13 at the threshold levels by a second setting device 15. The controlling device 13 compares a normal waveform with the detected waveform to judge whether a comparative result is above or below the threshold level, and if the comparative result is above the threshold level, the controlling device 13 controls the injection molding machine based on the set operation set according to the threshold level.
