    • An LED lamp includes a planar base, an LED module mounted on the base, an envelope covering the LED module, and a lamp housing having a configuration like a lantern and defining a cavity. An annular receiving groove is recessed from a bottom face of the base. The LED module is attached on the bottom face of the base and surrounded by the receiving groove. The envelope includes a recessed body and an engaging flange extending outwardly from a periphery of the body. The engaging flange of the envelope is received in the receiving groove. The base, the LED module and the envelope are received in the cavity.

    • A method for manufacturing a plate-type heat pipe includes providing a mold including a first cavity and a plurality of second cavities and depositing cores into the mold. Each core has a first portion in the first cavity and a second portion in a corresponding second cavity. First and second metal powder are filled into the mold. The cores are then removed from the mold to form a green piece by the first and second metal powder, which has first and second chambers therein. The green piece is sintered, whereby the first metal powder forms an outer wall of the heat pipe and the second metal powder forms a wick structure. The heat pipe has a heat absorbing portion having the first chambers and fins having the second chambers communicating with the first chambers.

    • An LED lamp includes a housing, multiple LEDs received in a first end portion of the housing, an envelope having a first end portion inserted in the housing and having a second end portion extending beyond a second end portion of the housing, and a reflector covering the second end portion of the envelope and having a reflective surface facing the LEDs. The LEDs encircle the first end portion of the envelope. The second end portion of the envelope spaces a distance from the second end portion of the housing to define a window at the second end portion of the envelope. Light generated by the LEDs permeates the envelope and impinges on the reflective surface, and the light is reflected by the reflective surface to emit out of the housing from the window, thereby illuminating an annular region around the housing.

    • A heat dissipation device dissipating heat from a heat-generating electronic element, includes a canister filled with a phase-changeable working fluid, a housing hermetically fixed to a top of the canister and communicating with the canister, a fan located above a top of the housing, an impeller comprising a driving member received in the housing and an axle which extends through a center of the driving member. The axle has a lower end extending downwardly through a bottom of the housing to a center of the top of the canister and an upper end extending upwardly through a top of the housing to engage the fan. The working fluid is heated by the heat-generating electronic element and vaporized into the housing to engage the driving member to rotate and drive the fan to rotate synchronously.

    • A heat dissipation assembly comprises a heat conducting plate, a fixing assembly for securing the heat conducting plate on an electronic module, a back plate opposite to the heat conducting plate. The fixing assembly comprises a bolt, an elastic element coiled around the bolt, and a nut. The heat conducting plate defines a through hole thereon, and a flange is defined at one end of the bolt and received in the nut. The nut is sandwiched between the heat conducting plate and the back plate and is made of elastically plastic. The back plate comprises a hollow fixed leg defined thereon correspond to the through hole of the heat conducting plate. Two ends of the nut are respectively attached to the heat conducting plate and the electronic module by tension from the elastic element.
