摘要： An information processing apparatus includes: a reproducing unit that reads, from a disc, a content and a content code file storing a content code that includes at least any one of a program or conversion data applied to a content reproducing process, to execute the content reproducing process; and a signature verification unit that verifies a digital signature set for the content code file. The signature verification unit verifies the signature using different pieces of set signature target data between a signature verification process executed in reproducing the content recorded in a ROM disc and a signature verification process executed in reproducing the content recorded in a non-ROM disc other than the ROM disc. The reproducing unit, when signature verification is successfully executed by the signature verification unit, applies the content code stored in the content code file, for which signature verification is successful, to reproduce the content.

摘要： A configuration is achieved in which content copying between media and content downloading are performed effectively and under strict management. In content copying between media, the identification information (medium ID) of a copying destination medium is obtained using an API for providing a predefined processing, then the obtained medium ID is transmitted to a server to obtain copying permission information from the server, and then content copying is performed under the management of the server. This configuration allows a copying destination medium to be managed, which can eliminate the unauthorized use of the content. Also, the configuration in which content downloading from the server is performed according to, for example, a Java® program allows a ROM disc on which the content is recorded to store the program and to be provided to a user.

CPS units such that content stored on an information recording medium is divided into units are set, a unit key is assigned to each CPS unit, and data forming each unit is encrypted and recorded. For reproduction, a unit key is generated, and data processing using the unit key is performed. As information for generating the unit key, copy/play control information (CCI) that is set so as to correspond to the CPS unit and a content hash that is a hash value based on data forming the CPS unit are used. With this configuration, tampering of CCI and data forming the CPS unit can be prevented, and authorized content use can be realized.
