摘要： Video data of a plurality of different formats is mixedly recorded onto one disc-shaped recording medium so that they can be continuously reproduced. A clip is constructed by video data, audio data, auxiliary AV data, and time-sequential meta data which are time-sequentially associated. The data is managed by a directory structure. The data constructing the clip is collectively stored into clip directories under a directory CLPR. When the format of, for example, the video data is changed during the recording, the clip is divided at the changing position, a clip directory is newly formed, and a new clip is formed. The mixture existence of the formats among the clip directories is permitted. The mixture existence of the formats in the file stored in the clip directory is not permitted.

摘要： A method and apparatus for generating and editing audio and/or video data using thumbnail representations of the data. Thumbnail representations are generated in accordance with clips randomly recorded on a disc, or other storage medium, and edit points are designated for the clips. When thumbnail representations are displayed, the disc is rotated at constant angular velocity (CAV). Video data of the thumbnail representations are read from the disc. When a desired thumbnail representation is selected and designated, the disc drive system is switched from CAV drive mode to constant linear velocity (CLV) drive mode. Video are reproduced from the position of the selected thumbnail representations. Since the thumbnail representations are read in the CAV drive mode that is suitable for randomly accessing the disc, the thumbnail representations can be displayed at high speed.

In an edit mode, thumbnail pictures are arranged and displayed in the order of which edit results are reproduced. These thumbnails may be, for example, a lower resolution, proxy representation of the audio or video data. When data of thumbnail pictures are read from a disc, the data are read in the order of which they have been recorded. The order of which thumbnail pictures are displayed on the screen is different from the order of which they are arranged on the screen, and thus, the seek time for the disc becomes the shortest. Thus, the thumbnail pictures can be displayed at high speed.

摘要： A method for producing a steering wheel to which a liquid pressure transfer print is applied. In this method, by adjusting a transfer angle formed when the steering wheel is pressed onto a transfer film and selecting a part in a rim section at which the wheel begins to be brought into contact with the transfer film, a joint line of a transfer pattern is made invisible from the driver-side, and pattern-missing and pattern-distortion can be eliminated or decreased, resulting in a fine and precise liquid pressure transfer print being applied to the steering wheel. This method is characterized by that a front-face of the steering wheel is faced to the transfer film floated and advanced on a liquid-surface, the transfer angle is determined to be e.g., 30 to 45.degree., and first contact of the steering wheel with the transfer film occurs at a larger rim arc which is apart from portions where spokes are connected to the rim section, respectively.
