    • An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an ECG memory storing ECG signals based on motion of a heart of a living body, an ECG A/D converter, and an elasticity image generating section. Upon receiving timing signals from a CPU synchronized with two points a and b in one cycle of the ECG signal, the elasticity image generating section obtains from a cinememory two frames of sound ray data of a body part to be examined. The two frames of the sound ray data correspond to the two points a and b respectively. A strain St is calculated from the obtained sound ray data. An elasticity image quantitatively indicating stiffness of the body part is generated on the basis of the calculated strain St.

    • An ultrasonic endoscope system is provided with an endoscope processor for producing an endoscopic image from an image signal obtained through a CCD, and an ultrasonograph processor for producing an ultrasonographic image from an echo signal received on an ultrasonic transducer. The processors are connected to a peripheral equipment control unit through USB, and the peripheral equipment control unit is connected to peripheral equipments through USB. The peripheral equipment control unit consists of a CPU and three USB controllers for controlling the USB connections to the processors and the peripheral equipments individually. The peripheral equipment control unit operates as a host to the peripheral equipments, and as a device to the respective processors. The processors are connected to a filing device through Ethernet, and to a movie recorder through IEEE1394 bus.

    • There is disclosed a novel aluminum alloy bearing which exhibits a more excellent fatigue resistance than conventional bearings even under such conditions of use as at a high temperature and under a high load. The aluminum alloy bearing has an aluminum bearing alloy layer containing, by weight, 1 to 10% Zn, 0.1 to 5% Cu, 0.05 to 3% Mg, 0.1 to 2% Mn, 0.1 to 5% Pb, 0.1 to 2% V, and 0.03 to 0.5% in total of Ti--B, and further may optionally contain not more than 8% Si, 0.05 to 0.5% Sr, and Ni, Co and Cr. The alloy may be bonded to a steel metal back sheet, and a surface layer may be formed on the surface of the bearing. By use of the composition of the alloy of the invention, the fatigue resistance of the aluminum alloy bearings has been improved, and such an improved bearing can fully achieve a bearing performance even under severe conditions of use as at high temperature and under a high load.
