    • The invention relates to a device enabling delivery of a paste from a flexible storage container located in a dimensionally stable container. Product is fed into a dosing device which dispenses product under vacuum. A follow-up plate is located on the top portion of the flexible storage container exerting pressure upon it. An opening is provided at the bottom of the container. On the edge of the opening a sealing device is arranged. Inside this arrangement a tight connection is made between the flexible storage container and access to the dosing device. Access to the dosing device can be barred. The sealing device is a sealing ring. Inside the opening of the sealing ring an upwardly turned blade is located in a conduit that connects to the dosing device. Between the blade and the connecting conduit a free cross section is available in order to enable paste flow.

    • A device for performing electrochemical and/or optical measurements in fluids, includes a sensor part of substantially planar configuration carrying a plurality of sensors that are connected to conductive paths; a cover part, which includes a groove-shaped measuring channel through which the fluid will flow; and a sealing element positioned between the sensor part and the cover part for sealing the measuring channel. The cover part includes grooves which extend in parallel with the measuring channel and which define respective ridges between the grooves and the measuring channel, and the sealing element substantially includes guiding bodies which are retained in the grooves of the cover part and are provided with integrally molded narrow sealing lips protruding in the area of the ridge. The sensor part and the cover part are joined by a plurality of locking elements which are distributed along the measuring channel.

    • A circuit including an adjusting control (e.g. a potentiometer) which has two end connections and a slider which is adjustable for setting different resistance ratios. The two end connections of the potentiometer are each connected to one of two connections of a microprocessor and the slider is connected to one connection of a capacitor. The other capacitor connection is connected to a predetermined potential. To each of the two microprocessor connections at least one controllable switch is connected for optionally connecting a first potential (V1) or a second potential (V2) to the relevant microprocessor connection. The microprocessor executes a program run in which the capacitor, which has previously been brought into an initial charge state, is recharged first via one resistance section (R1) and then via the other resistance section (R2) of the potentiometer. In each case a measurement value Z(Z2), Z(Z3) corresponding to a capacitor recharging period (TU1, TU2) is determined and from the determined measurement values Z(Z2), Z(Z3) a digital data word signal (SQ) is generated by forming the quotient thereof. This digital signal represents the resistance ratio set by the slider of the potentiometer.

    • A packing seal for closing the space between a rotating shaft and a stationary machine part is described. A ring is located in an annular slot formed in one of the shaft or machine parts. The ring is tensioned radially on the rotating or on the non-rotating part and axially spaced from the frontal faces of the slot so that a fluid media can be located therebetween. At least one face of the ring has a plurality of arcuate grooves by which the pressure of the fluid medium between the ring and the opposing frontal face of the slot is generated on rotation of said shaft.
