CONSTITUTION:A pair of permanent magnets 23 are formed on a vertical axis Y of a deflecting yoke 19 in symmetry upward and downward to a horizontal axis X, so as to form a magnetic field by which an electron beam is deflected vertically. This is horizontally extended so that a magnetic pole of the permanent magnet 23 and one end are linked together magnetically, and the other end is receded from the vertical axis Y, while a piece of magnetic substance 24 is provided so that the other end is situated closer to the horizontal axis X than the magnetic pole of the permanent magnet 23. Pin cushion type distortion of the upper and lower parts of the display can be adjusted by a pin cushion type magnetic field that is generated by the magnetic pole of the permanent magnet 23, as well as the drop of the end of the distortion of high degree can be adjusted by the magnetic field generated by the end of the piece of the magnetic substance 24. A good raster can thus be obtained.

CONSTITUTION:Out of cross sections in parallel with the Y-axis and the Z-aixs in a panel effective arear 33, the difference between wall thickness h1 on the X-axis of a cross section 52 passing through the center O of a panel and wall thickness H1 at the end section in the Y-axis direction, is smaller than the difference between wall thickness h2 on the X-axis of a section 53 in parallel with the Y-axis and the Z-axis at the midsection M in the X-axis direction and wall thickness H2 at the end section in the Y-axis direction. In addition, the difference between wall thickness h3 on the X-axis of a cross section 54 in parallel with the Y-axis and the Z-axis at the end section P of an effective diameter in the X-axis direction and wall thickness H3 at the end section in the Y-axis direction is similarly smaller than the difference between wall thickness h2 on the X-axis of the cross section 53 at the midsection and wall thickness H2 at the end section in the Y-axis direction. Namely, the difference in thickness is maximum at the midsection M. This constitution thereby can prevent effectively purity in color from being deteriorated caused by partial thermal deformation of a shadow mask 36 only by partially changing the form of a curved surface.

CONSTITUTION:A shadow mask 36 tructure 32 consists of a rectangular mask frame 34 and a curved shadow mask provided with a lot of through holes, and these through holes are formed in a rectangular area 33 with a slit along a Y-axis direction in response to stripes of a fluorescent screen 30, and this area 33 serves as an effective area for image projection. With the center O of an effective curved surface as a reference point, a major axis is set to an X-axis, a minor axis to a Y-axis and the center axis to a Z-axis, respectively. An X-axial radius of curvature in the minor axis effective diameter end vicinity is made smaller than an X-axial radius of curvature in and around the central part of the effective surved surface, and an X-axial radius of curvature in and around the diagonal effective diameter end is made larger than the X-axial radius of curvature in and around the major axis effective diameter end. Thus, thermal deformation in the shadow mask is checkable.

A spring component 24 is made of three components welded each other: the one is a fixed part 21 fixed by welding to the frame 13, and the other: are a connecting part 23 which a stud-pin 14 is fitted in the hole of and a movable piece part 22 connecting the fixed part 21 to the connecting part 23. The angle a between the tube axis and the straight line 35 connecting the end part 34 of the movable piece part 22 at the frame side to the center of the top of the stud-pin 14 is made larger than the angle beta between the tube axis and the movable piece part 22. Thereby purity drift is able to be efficiently improved for a long time without making a great change in the conventional spring component.

      CONSTITUTION: A color picture tube is assembled by installing a shadow mask 36 having many holes near a fluorescent screen 30 formed on the inner surface of a rectangular panel 24. When the longer axis, the shorter axis and the central axis of the shadow mask 30 are supposed to be X axis, Y axis and Z axis respectively, the curvature radius of line (YF) formed by the (X-Y) plane and the effective curved surface exhibits the minimum level between the center (O) of the mask 36 and the end (P) of the line (XO) formed by the (Y-Z) plane and the effective curved surface. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent any mislanding occurring in a relatively short time, thereby inhibiting the deterioration of color purity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflecting yoke, and cathode-ray tube equipment equipped with this, which can aim at reduction of deflecting electric power, manufacturing cost, and reduction of heat value. SOLUTION: A vacuum envelope has an almost truncated polygonal pyramid-shaped yoke mounting part, and the deflecting yoke, which is equipped to the yoke mounting part, is equipped symmetrically to its center axis. Moreover, it has a pair of saddle type level deflecting coils 30a and 30b, which are made to have the shape of the mostly truncated-pyramid. A separator 33 is formed in the perimeter side of the horizontal deflecting soils, and a magnetic body core 34 of a mostly truncated-cone shape is formed in the outside of the separator, in the same axis with the main axis. A pair of vertical deflecting coils is wound in a troidal manner to the magnetic body core. In a direction of a horizontal axis, which intersects perpendicularly with the center axis of the horizontal deflecting coils, it has the minimum interval part, where the interval between the magnetic body core and the horizontal deflecting coil becomes the minimum, at near the end part of the side of the small diameter side of the magnetic body core. And the interval of the magnetic body core and the horizontal deflecting coil is increasing from this minimum interval part toward the large diameter side end of the magnetic body core.
