摘要： A car cover has a bag for storing the cover. The bag can be stably mounted on the trunk, and in this state the cover can be put on the car smoothly. A pair of triangular sheets are connected to the bag. The bag is secured to the cover member through a gusset provided between the triangular sheets. A belt connected to the free ends of the triangular sheets is put around the hinges in the trunk room. A mounting sheet is stitched to the edge of the opening of the bag and is fastened to the interior surface of the trunk by hook-and-loop fasteners provided near its front edge. After supporting the bag on the rear wall of the trunk by fastening the triangular sheets and the mounting sheet, the trunk door is closed and the cover member is taken out of the bag and put on the car. The locking mechanism of the trunk door can pass through a gap between the triangular sheets or a hole formed in the mounting sheet, so that the trunk door can be closed and locked.

In a film processing line incorporating a transferring/receiving mechanism having a take-up unit, two pairs of cutters are moved by twos in crosswise directions of a film to cut away side narrow portions of the film by one pair of cutters. Chain clips catch the film ends to longitudinally divide the film into three parts by the other pair of cutters. The side portions of the 3-divided film are cut away by rotary cutters. The left central portion thereof is cut away by moving the other pair of cutters toward the center. The film is transferred to and received by the chain clips.

摘要： An image density detector for detecting image density of an image borne by an image bearer includes a reference board, a light emitter, a light receiver, an image density calculator, and an image density detecting condition corrector. The reference board has a spectral reflectance distribution closer to a spectral reflectance distribution of the image forming material than a spectral reflectance distribution of white. The light emitter emits light to the reference board and the image borne by the image bearer. The light receiver receives the light reflected from the image and the reference board. The image density calculator calculates the image density of the image based on an output of the light receiver receiving the light reflected from the image. The image density detecting condition corrector corrects an image density detecting condition based on an output of the light receiver receiving the light reflected from the reference board.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearer, an image forming device to form a toner image on the image bearer, a transfer device to transfer the toner image to a recording medium, a line sensor as an image density sensor to detect image density of the toner image, and a controller operatively connected to the image density sensor. The image density sensor is disposed so as to be shorter in a rotational direction of the image bearer than in a width direction of the image bearer perpendicular to the rotational direction of the image bearer. The controller forms a shading pattern image including a plurality of patches on the image bearer, and detects image density of the plurality of patches, so as to control image density. The shading pattern image is shorter in the rotational direction of the image bearer than in the width direction of the image bearer.
