    • Various examples are provided for renewable energy control. In one example, among others, a system includes a PV source, a multi-core processor load, and a solar power manager configured to adjust an operating point of the PV source about a maximum power point by dynamically adjusting a transfer ratio and a load level. In another example, a method includes sensing an output current supplied to a multi-core processor load by a power converter at a first transfer ratio, sensing another output current supplied at a second transfer ratio, and determining an operating point of the PV source with respect to a maximum power point based upon the output currents. In another example, a system includes a power manager configured to switch servers between a renewable energy supply and a utility energy supply based at least in part upon a budget level and the load power consumption.

    • A networking method and networking device are disclosed. The method includes determining a platform type of a terminal according to the port information of the terminal; and searching for a networking manner corresponding to the determined platform type according to a preset corresponding relationship between the platform type of the terminal and the networking manner, and connecting the terminal with a network according to the found networking manner. A corresponding device is also disclosed. The device includes a platform type determination module configured to determine a platform type of a terminal according to the port information of the terminal, and a networking module configured to search for a networking manner corresponding to the determined platform type according to a preset corresponding relationship between the platform type of the terminal and the networking manner, and connect the terminal with a network according to the found networking manner. The method and device can prevent a user from determining an available networking manner by testing networking manners one by one, and the operation of the user can be simplified.

    • One embodiment of the present invention provides an automatic gain control (AGC) module for a wireless communication system that includes a plurality of amplifiers. The AGC module includes a receiving mechanism configured to receive an input that indicates a total amount of gain adjustment; a collecting mechanism configured to collect a number of parameters associated with the amplifiers; a determining mechanism configured to determine a desired performance requirement; a gain-control engine configured to generate a gain profile for the amplifiers based on the collected parameters, the total amount of gain, and the desired performance requirement; and an output mechanism configured to output a plurality of control signals based on the generated gain profile, wherein a respective control signal independently controls gain of a corresponding amplifier, thereby enabling the wireless communication system to achieve the total amount of gain adjustment while meeting the desired performance requirement.
