摘要： In accordance with methods and systems consistent with the present invention, an improved fact recognition system is provided that automatically learns from syntactic language examples and semantic language examples, thus facilitating development of the system. The language examples are rather simplistic and can be provided by a lay person with little training, thus relieving the need for knowledge engineers. Furthermore, the learning performed by the improved fact recognition system results in a collection of probabilities that is used by the system to recognize facts in a typically more accurate manner than conventional systems.

摘要： The pages of a book being held at least partially open may be sequentially automatically turned over from one side of the book to the other by pivoting an elongated arm from one side of the book toward the other and turning over individual pages with a vacuum head pivoting relative to the elongated pivoted arm about a different pivot axis as the elongated arm moves to reduce undesirable forces on the individual book pages being turned over. The vacuum head may initially pivot to bend the edge of an individual page up away from the book, to aid in page separation, and then subsequently differently pivot to help peel the same page gently away from the vacuum head and flip it over onto the opposite side of the book. This may be assisted by moving frictional belts on the vacuum head.

摘要： Clip on “flip-up” attachable auxiliary nose protection assembly adapted to clip onto a pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses and including a nose protection piece pivotally movable to a first position covering a persons nose and a second position uncovering a persons nose to protect the wearers nose from sunlight or to allow the wearer to modulate some sunlight exposure. The apparatus has two main parts, including a clip means which attaches to a pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses and a nose protection portion which is pivotally attached to the clip means. Preferably the nose protector and the clip means are manufactured from lightweight durable plastic and moldable metal. When the nose protection apparatus is attached to pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses the nose protection portion may be locked into a functional position or a position which is substantially parallel to the wearers nose and an inoperative position or a position which is substantially perpendicular to the wearers nose.
