CONSTITUTION:In the case of that a cutting part module 12 is coupled to a holder module 13 attached on a spindle 43, when a slide device 31 lowers a body 30, a latch pawl 27 in the holder module 13 runs away until it abuts against the base section of the cutting part module 12 while the spindle 34 is moved upward so that a stop ring 48 abuts against a flange 32. In this condition, when the spindle 34 is rotated by a first rotary actuator 50 through a belt 53, an engaging pawl 27 and an engaging hole 17 are engaged together with their phases being interlocked with each other. Then, the holder module 13 and the cutting part module are integrally coupled to a nut runner 54. Thus, it is possible to automatically assemble and disassemble the modular tool, and therefore, it is possible to chance the operating factor of the machine.

The control unit 3 monitors change in machining operation and changes the tool feeding schedule in accordance with changes such as an indication of change in machining contents, extension or reduction in machining time, etc. and sends it to the feed control part 24, to reduce the waiting time for the machine tool 11. Also, in case of stopping machining operation due to a trouble, the tool feeding schedule is changed and sent to the feed control part 24 to reduce the waiting time.

    • PURPOSE:To detect the quality of a boring state automatically and precisely by photographing the image of a boring part through optical fiber, converting it into an image signal and inputting it into a judging unit to detect breaking damage of a drill. CONSTITUTION:When boring is completed, a drill 1 ascends, and a timing signal ST is output to an operation control unit 12 from a NC unit 17. An ITV camera 8 photographs the state of a hole 2 illuminated by a lamp L through optical fiber F, and an image signal SI is input to a breaking damage judging unit 6. This signal SI is housed into an image memory 11 as a digital signal SD. And, the operation control unit 12 converts housed data into binary values by means of a threshold value VT, regards the hole 2 as logic 1, a surrounding area 18 as logic 0, and counts the logic 1 to be compared with a set value NT. If the counted value is above NT, the value is judged as normal, and if the value is below NT, a stop signal SM is output by judging presence of breaking damage. Quality detection of a boring state can be automated and be made to be highly accurate by this constitution.
