A certainty determining portion 56 discriminates the appliance A on the basis of the total point of the point spreadsheet (1). When the ignition determining portion 51 detects the ignition of an appliance B, the point spreadsheet creating-deleting portion 53 creates a point spreadsheet (2), and the addition to the appliance excluding the appliance A on which the discrimination is decided, is performed to the spreadsheet (2) through the point adding portion 55 on the basis of the determination information from the certainty determining portion 56.

The gas meter has a memory 32 for storing the parameter from the setting device, and the gas flow rate detected by the flow sensor is corrected following the parameter stored in the memory, to thereby meter the gas flow rate.

When the impact sensor 15 detects the vibration, it is controlled such that the supply of the gas is not shut off even if the pulse signal outputted from the earthquake sensor 12 is the pulse wave having the characteristics of the earthquake.
