摘要： A method and apparatus for enabling delivery of a message in a communication system comprising an IMS domain and a circuit switched domain. Upon receiving a registration message in the IMS domain from a user equipment operated by a user, wherein the message comprises an Equipment Identifier valid for the user equipment and an IMPI valid for the user, the Equipment Identifier and the IMPI are extracted from the received message. Then a creation or an update of a mapping of the Equipment Identifier to the IMPI and a C-MSISDN is initiated. Upon receiving a message, relating to the user, which is to be communicate between the IMS and circuit switched domains in the communication system, a use of the mapping for translating between the Equipment Identifier, IMPI and the C-MSISDN is initiated.

摘要： A method and apparatus for maintaining service continuity for User Equipment accessing an IP Multimedia Subsystem communication network. A routing identifier is established that identifies a Service Centralization and Continuity Application Server allocated to the User Equipment. The routing identifier is sent to the User Equipment. In the event of disruption to the service between the User Equipment and the Service Centralization and Continuity Application Server, a handover message is sent from the User Equipment via a Circuit Switched access network. The handover message includes the routing identifier, and is then forwarded to the identified Service Centralization and Continuity Application Server. This allows the same Service Centralization and Continuity Application Server to be used after the handover as was used before the handover, thereby providing service continuity.

The system comprises at least one edge node (EN) for the connection to user equipment (UE) or a further communication system (FS) and for processing data packets. The packets comprise a data field (10) specifying the handling of the packets and the nodes (N) perform a differentiated handling of packets according to said data field (10). The communication system comprises or is connectable to a data base (DB) which contains a record for a user specifying a quality of service. An edge node (EN) which processes a packet for said user is provided with quality parameters from the data base (DB).
