    • A method implemented at a user equipment (UE) may include receiving a grant from a base station permitting the user equipment to transmit data to the base station and transmitting data to the base station, where the data includes a buffer status report (BSR) that indicates an amount of data in a buffer of the UE. The method may further include starting or restarting a discontinuous reception (DRX) timer when the data including the BSR is transmitted to the base station. The method may additionally include monitoring (730) a control channel during a duration of the DRX timer. In another implementation, a method may include receiving a feedback message in response to the data transmission including the BSR, and starting or restarting the discontinuous reception (DRX) timer when the feedback message is received. The feedback message may include an acknowledgement (ACK) or a negative acknowledgement (NACK). In a further implementation, a method may include starting a process specific hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) round trip time (RTT) timer upon transmission of the data including the BSR, starting a grant timer when the HARQ RTT timer expires, and monitoring the control channel during a duration of the grant timer.

    • The embodiments of the present invention relate to apparatuses in the form of a first network unit and a device, and also relates to a method for enabling protection of a bootstrap message in a device management network system. The method comprises: receiving at the first network unit, a request to bootstrap the device; transmit a request for a bootstrap key, to a second network unit; receiving a message comprising the bootstrap key and further comprises trigger information and transmitting the trigger information to the device to trigger generation of the bootstrap key internally in the device. Thereafter a protected bootstrap message can be transmitted to the device from the first network unit, and when the device verifies and/or decrypts the bootstrap message, device management (DM) sessions can start between the device and the first network unit.

    • The present invention comprises a method and an arrangement for priority handling between a measurement gap procedure and an uplink data transmission procedure in an evolved UTRAN. The user equipment (UE) detects an active measurement gap. When the UE receives data into the transmission buffer the received data triggers an uplink data transmission procedure such as a scheduling request procedure or a random access procedure. An evaluation on characteristics information associated with the received data is performed and based on the performed evaluation the UE proceeds with the uplink data transmission procedure or the measurement gap procedure. In case the characteristics information associated with the received data is of high priority, the UE proceeds with the uplink data transmission procedure and cancels the measurement gap procedure. However, if the characteristics information associated with the received data is of low priority, it proceeds with the measurement gap procedure and postpones the uplink data transmission procedure to a later occasion.
