In the case where the melt-mixing of the fiber with resin is performed using a co-rotating twin-screw extruder, the vapor grown carbon fiber is preferably fed to the extruder by way of side feeding. In the case where the melt-mixing is performed using a pressure kneader, resin is sufficiently melted in the kneader in advance, and vapor grown carbon fiber is fed to the molten resin.
