摘要： The present invention is directed to a composition containing the reaction product of:(A) a cyclic compound containing a 5, 6, or 7-member ring, the ring containing at least one nitrogen and at least one carbonyl group, at least one carbonyl group being adjacent to at least one said nitrogen;(B) an aldehyde or ketone of 1 to about 15 carbon atoms, or a reactive equivalent thereof; and(C) an etheramine represented by the formulaR.sup.4 (O(CH.sub.2 CH(R)O).sub.n --R.sup.3 --NH.sub.2).sub.y(C-I)wherein in formula (C-I), each n independently is a number from 0 to about 50; each R independently is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hydrocarbyl groups of 1 to about 16 carbon atoms, and mixtures thereof; R.sup.3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbylene groups of about 2 to about 18 carbon atoms and groups represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.5 and each R.sup.6 are independently hydrocarbylene groups of about 2 to about 10 carbon atoms and p is a number from 1 to about 4; y is 1, 2 or 3; and R.sup.4 is a hydrocarbyl group having a valence of y and containing 1 to about 50 carbon atoms when y is 1, and 1 to about 18 carbon atoms when y is 2 or 3.These compositions are useful as fuel additives for reducing intake valve deposits and advantageously, they do not contribute to an increase in combustion chamber deposits in port fuel injected internal combustion engines. The invention also relates to concentrates and fuel compositions containing the foregoing fuel additive compositions and to a method for reducing intake valve deposits in an internal combustion engine.

The transmission, hydraulic and gear fluids containing the esters exhibit improved shear stability while maintaining desired high and low temperature viscosity characteristics.

摘要： This invention relates to an article comprising:(A) a polymer fabric treated with (B) a wetting agent which comprises at least one compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrocarbyl group having about 8 to about 150 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 is a hydrocarbylene group, or a hydroxy substituted or hydroxyalkyl substituted hydrocarbylene; each R.sub.3 is independently hydrogen, an alkyl group, a hydroxyalkyl group, a hydrocarbylcarbonyl or a polyoxyalkylene group; each R.sub.4 is independently a hydrocarbylene group; each n is independently 1 to 150; m is zero or one; m' is zero or one; M is a hydrogen, an ammonium cation or a metal cation, andwhen m' is zero, X is --H, --Ar, --OH, --OR.sub.5, ##STR2## when m' is one, X is --H, --R.sub.5, ##STR3## wherein each R.sub.5, R.sub.6 and R.sub.8 is independently a hydrocarbyl group having up to 100 carbon atoms; R.sub.7 is hydrogen or an alkyl group having from 1 to about 8 carbon atoms and Ar is a phenyl group.The treated polymer fabrics of the present invention have improved wicking/wetting characteristics. 摘要： Amino phenols of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R is a substantially saturated, hydrocarbon-based group of at least about 30 aliphatic carbon atoms, a, b and c are, for example, each 1, 2 or 3, and Ar is an aromatic moiety such as a benzene nucleus, naphthalene nucleus or linked benzene nuclei, are useful additives for fuels and lubricants. These amino phenols can be conveniently prepared by nitrating an appropriate hydroxy aromatic compound and reducing the nitro groups to amino groups. Typically such amino phenols are formed by nitration and reduction of alkyl phenols having an alkyl or alkenyl group of at least about 50 carbon atoms.
