摘要： Cell selection techniques are provided for network access to cells that may employ one or more coverage enhancement techniques. A user equipment (UE), which may be a machine type communication (MTC) device, upon initial acquisition or upon wakeup may measure a reference signal received power (RSRP), reference signal received quality (RSRQ), or both, and determine a cell selection value based at least in part on the RSRP, RSRQ, or a combination thereof. The cell selection value may be determined based on an offset, which may be selected based on a measurement accuracy capability of the UE. UE sequential access attempts, neighbor cell list information that may include coverage enhancement of neighboring cells transmissions, and cell re-selection measurement frequency adjustments are also described.

摘要： Aspects are described for reducing interference in wireless systems. In a first embodiment, an uplink acknowledgment region associated with a macro cell is determined, and an assignment of uplink control resources is restricted to a region within the uplink acknowledgment region. A control signal is then transmitted to user equipment via the assignment of uplink control resources. In another embodiment, control signals are received from wireless terminals, which include desired uplink control signals associated with an access point base station, as well as interfering uplink acknowledgement signals associated with macro cells. The control signals may then be regenerated by cancelling the set of interfering signals from the control signals. The desired uplink control signals are then decoded.

摘要： Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, randomized shifts of a base sequence may be used for transmitting uplink control information. For example, a user equipment (UE) may identify a base sequence of an uplink control message. The UE may also receive signaling that indicates a UE-specific initial shift that may be applied to the base sequence. In some examples, the signaling that indicates the randomized shift may be explicit, implicit, or a combination thereof. After determining one or more shifted sequences based on the UE-specific initial shift, a payload of the uplink control message, and the base sequence, the UE may select a shifted sequence to be transmitted, where the selection is based on a payload of the uplink control message. For example, different shifted sequences may be selected for respective transmissions of scheduling requests, 1-bit acknowledgments (ACKs), 2-bit ACKs, and the like.

At least a portion of the configuration may correspond to a capability of the UE. The UE may monitor the first set of resources while in the first operating mode, and may monitor the second set of resources while in the second operating mode. The UE may receive a system information update or a public warning system (PWS) notification from the network entity via the second set of resources.
