The controller has an interface for receiving compressed page data, a first decoder for decoding continuous tone image planes in the received compressed page data, a second decoder for decoding bi-level image planes in the received compressed page data, a half-toner for dithering separate color planes of the decoded continuous tone image planes which are output by the first decoder to separate buffers of the half-toner and a compositor for compositing the decoded bi-level image planes output by the second decoder with the dithered image planes, and a print head interface for outputting the composite to the print head.

摘要： A method of image processing an image in a camera module, said method comprising the steps of capturing an image as a Color Filter Array image having non-linear RGB pixel data from an image sensor of said camera module; linearizing said image from said image sensor to generate a linearized image by using at least three lookup tables, one lookup table for each of three RGB colors, said linearizing step performed by using an address for current RGB pixel data being read to index the at least three lookup tables and incrementing the addresses for the RGB pixel data; generating at least three histograms of said linearized image data, one histogram for each of at least three RGB image color planes, and storing at least a high and a low threshold for each histogram; planarizing said linearized image by using at least the high and the low threshold to generate a planarized linear RGB image; and transforming said image from planarized linear RGB form to L*a*b* form. The step of transforming said image from planarized linear RGB form to L*a*b* form includes a step of referring to each of the histograms and applying a thresholding algorithm thereto.

摘要： A hand-held modular camera assembly includes a camera module configured to capture an image. An effects module is provided with which a user can apply one or more effects to the captured image. A printer module is configured to print the image with the applied effects. In one embodiment, the effects module includes three operational buttons: a CHOOSE button which allows the user to choose between a number of different types of effects; a SELECT button which allows the user to select one effect from the number of effects of the chosen type; and an APPLY button which allows the user to apply the selected effect to the stored image.
