摘要： Provided is a preservation composition having a large-particle distribution which can effectively penetrate and preserve wood. The composition comprises a particulate dispersion of biocidal particles such that at least about 3 weight percent of the particles have diameters are greater than about 0.5 micron, and at least 98 wt% of the particles have diameters of less than about 10 microns. Also provided is a method for preserving wood with the composition.

摘要： The present invention provides wood preservative compositions comprising micronized particles. In one embodiment, the composition comprises dispersions of micronized metal or metal compounds. In another embodiment, the wood preservative composition comprises an inorganic component comprising a metal or metal compound and organic biocide. When the composition comprises an inorganic component and an organic biocide, the inorganic component or the organic biocide or both are present as micronized particles. When compositions of the present invention are used for preservation of wood, there is minimal leaching of the metal and biocide from the wood.

摘要： Disclosed embodiments are related to techniques for powering compute platforms in low temperature environments. Embodiments include a preheating stage that is added to a power up sequence. The preheating stage may include a force-on stage and a force-offstage. During the force-on stage, all power rails of target components are forced to an ON state so that the target components consume current. When a target operating temperature is reached, the power rails of the target components are turned off, which causes the target components to revert back to their initial (pre-boot) state allowing the normal boot process to take place. Since the target components are now heated up, the boot process can execute faster than when the target components were cold. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

摘要： The present invention relates to a process and plant for the recovery of carbon dioxide from a gas stream by means of pressure swing adsorption using an adsorbent, such as X or Y type Zeolite adsorbents. The gas feed stream suitably has a moderate concentration of carbon dioxide, such as gas emitted from the filling bowl of the carbonated drinks bottling plant and is recovered without rinsing or purging the adsorbent with a high purity carbon dioxide gas stream. The process therefore provides the advantage of being capturing carbon dioxide from the effluent that would otherwise be emitted to the atmosphere and captures the carbon dioxide in a manner that minimises operational and capital expenditure. The present invention also relates to a process for utilizing one dry stream from a gas separation unit (adsorption or membrane process) to conduct evaporative cooling of water, which is used as the water in a liquid ring vacuum pump thereby decreasing the vacuum level and improving the performance.
