    • PURPOSE:To obtain the titled reactor capable of reducing the driving energy of a circulating gas compressor by separating the inlet part of the upstream reactor and the intermediate part between the upstream reactor and the downstream reactor, and supplying the unreacted gas. CONSTITUTION:The amt. of an inlet gas from a circulating gas compressor 5 is separated, and a part of the gas is supplied to an upstream reactor 1. Meanwhile, since the pressure drop of the upstream reactor 1 is high and that of a downstream reactor 2 is low, the amt. of gas to be supplied to the upstream reactor 1 with high pressure drop can be reduced to reduce the power load of the compressor. The reduced amt. of gas can be compressed by the compres sor 5 by P2-P1 corresponding to the pressure difference (pressure drop) DELTArho@@@@@@@@@$!0!0!!'@@@P=P7-P10 (including the pressure drop of a heater 7). Consequently, the driv ing energy necessary for compressing the reduced amt. of gas from P2 to P3 can be saved.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the filling amount of a catalyst without damaging the strength of a tube plate, by fixing reaction tubes to the tube plate of a reactor wherein the diameter of each reaction tube at the tube plate part is made smaller than that of each reaction tube at a catalyst packed part and packing reactor with the solid particulate catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A reaction tube 11 packed with a catalyst 12 is fixed to a tube plate 10 but the tube diameter d2 of the reaction tube 11 at the part fixed to the tube plate 10 is made small and the tube diameter d1 thereof at the part packed with the catalyst 12 is made large. In this case, the diameter of the reaction tube at the insert part of the tube plate may be set so as to enable the packing and taking-out of the catalyst and the catalytic reaction at the insert part of the tube plate is not expected. Because a fluid is gas, the dependence of the flowing of the gas on the tube diameter is small. By this method, the packing amount of the catalyst can be increased without damaging the strength of tube plate.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the process of synthesis system and to economize energy consumption by providing a separation process due to a functional membrane having capillary condensation action to a synthesis system manufacturing condensational substance from gaseous raw material and separating selectively only the condensational components contained in the gaseous mixture of an outlet of synthetic tower. CONSTITUTION:In a process synthesizing methanol from the synthetic gas consisting of, for example, H2 and CO or the like, after the outlet gas 6 of synthetic tower is subjected to heat recovery in a cooler 14, to temp. control in a pretreatment device 23 and to removal of substance causing the clogging of membrane, said gas is supplied to a membrane separation device 25 to separate selectively only the condensational reaction products 22 contained in the unreacted synthetic gas and the remaining unreacted gas 21 is recirculated to the synthetic tower. The membrane separation device 25 having the following function is used wherein the condensational components to be separated are adsorbed in the narrow pores of membrane to cause capillary condensation and the condensated components are evaporated in the other end of membrane.

    • PURPOSE: To increase economic efficiency and maintain safety by using inert gas such as N
2 gas etc. as the deaerating gas for a degassing tank and using low-priced air as the purging gas for a reservoir.
      CONSTITUTION: N
      2 gas, CO
2 gas or combustion exhaust gas is supplied into at least a degassing tank 2 through lines 12 and 15, and the combustible gas which is dissolved in oil is degassed, and the concentration of oxygen in the environment in the degassing tank 2 is kept below about 10%, thus always preventing the formation of the explosive mixed gas. Air is used as the gas for purging the gaseous phase portion in an oil reservoir 1. Into the oil reservoir 1, circulation oil is returned from the degassing tank through a line 7 and from the bearing part of a compressor 3 through a line 9, but as the oil is not accompanied by combustible gas in ordinary case, there is no special problem in view of safety.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the degassing of heavy hydrocarbons by providing a vapor- liquid separating chamber on the upstream side, a defoaming chamber on the downstream side, and a baffle plate and a sparger in the defoaming chamber. CONSTITUTION:A degassing apparatus consists of a degassing chamber 2, a vapor- liquid separating chamber 3, and a defoaming chamber 3'. And, a partition plate 4 with an inlet 5 is provided between the vapor-liquid separating chamber 3 and the degassing chamber 2 to separate them. In the degassing chamber 2, baffle plates 6 projectionally and alternately from the side wall of the degassing apparatus 1 toward the degassing chamber 2 in such a way as to flow oil in a zigzagged manner. Oil deprived of hydrocarbon gases in the vapor-liquid separating chamber 3 enters through the lower outlet 5 of the partition plate 4 into the degassing chamber 2, where dissolved hydrocarbon gases are released from a sparger 8 for ventilation, provided along the zigzagged passage formed by the baffle plates 6 by means of air or an inert gas.
