CONSTITUTION:An input cell distributed through incoming lines 1-n from a connection section 1 is latched by a division common buffer section 2, a latch cell address is latched corresponding to an outgoing line in the first-in first-out operation and an output cell connection section 3 distributes an output cell to outgoing lines 1-n. A control section 4 decodes input cell header information 30 from the input cell connection section 1, gives write and read address commands 40, 50 to the division common buffer section 2, adds a write address 60 to an end of a latch cell address and processes a read address 70 from the head as a non-use address. On the other hand, a cell abort condition priority control means is provided, which controls so that the address of latch non- priority cell is not read twice only when a latch cell of a buffer area is occupied, an input priority cell is overwritten and a non-priority cell is aborted.

    • PURPOSE:To allow the cell exchange to cope with a change in a call capacity without being noticed of an external part even when the change in a call capacity takes place by storing once an outgoing line of destination information to a buffer memory based on destination information of an inputted cell and allowing an arbitration circuit to arbitrate the cell transmission sequence between buffer memories of a unit switch belonging to the outgoing line. CONSTITUTION:A destination information recognition circuit 9 of a unit switch 6 connecting to each incoming line group 4 reads destination information of a header part of a cell incoming to an incoming line and is stored in a buffer memory 7 of the unit switch 6 accommodating a relevant outgoing line corresponding to the destination information. An arbitration circuit 818 of a unit switch 618 checks a buffer memory 1718, sends a cell to be sent to an outgoing line 264 unconditionally when the cell to be sent is in existence in the memory and sends a signal representing the absence of a cell to be sent to an arbitration circuit 828 of a unit switch 728 when the cell to be sent is not in existence in the memory to transfer the right of cell transmission to the succeeding unit switch 628. Thus, even when a call is set, the exchange copes with a change in a call capacity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve ciphering in a down direction in a passive lights network system corresponding to an Ethernet (registered trademark) frame.
      SOLUTION: An ONT 11 monitors a transmission frame input from a terminal 111, holds a MAC address for identifying the terminal 111, and notifies any cipher key to an OLT 50. The OLT 50 holds the cipher key notified from the ONT 11, monitors the transmission frame (Ethernet frame) input from the ONT 11, and acquires a correspondence relationship between the MAC address and the ONT from the transmission frame to hold it. When transmitting the transmission frame for the ONT 11 to the terminal, the OLT 50 identifies ONT as a destination from the holding data based on the MAC address of a transmission destination, and ciphers a data region of the transmission frame by using the cipher key of the identified ONT to output it. The ONT 11 decodes only the frame which holds the MAC address included in the transmission frame input from the OLT 50, and is coincident with the MAC address by using the cipher key.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the hardware scale of an area in which the multiaddress calling information of a multiaddress calling cell counter or the like is stored, and to suppress the disposal rate of a non-multiaddress calling cell by making block of multi-media information such as voice, data, and picture. CONSTITUTION:When a buffer is divided between a multiaddress calling cell area and a non-multiaddress calling cell area, the inside of a register 52 is provided with a multiaddress calling cell register 52a and a non-multiaddress cell register 52b corresponding to those areas. A multiaddress calling identification signal is inputted to a priority encoder 53, and when the multiaddress calling identification signal is the multiaddress calling cell, a bits in an unused state is retrieved from the register 52a by using the enceder 53, and a write address corresponding to it is encoded and outputted. When the multiaddress calling identification signal is the non-multiaddress calling cell, the bit in an unused state is retrieved from the register 52b, and the address corresponding to it is encoded and outputted. That is, the register 52 is constituted of the unit of one bit corresponding to the address of the buffer, and the use or the unused is decided by a selector 50.
