    • A printer includes a print head moving in printing and shifting regions, a carriage connecting the print head and the print head transport mechanism, and a ribbon cassette mounting mechanism that drives a multicolor ribbon cassette to swing. A ribbon cassette supporting mechanism in the shifting region correspondingly supports the ribbon cassette mounting mechanism to different levels to shift color of the ink ribbon while the ribbon cassette supporting mechanism rotates. A ribbon cassette shifting mechanism fixed on the carriage is used, in the shifting region, to lift the ribbon cassette mounting mechanism to a position disengaged from the ribbon cassette supporting mechanism and move the ribbon cassette supporting mechanism to rotate. A resetting mechanism fixed on the ribbon cassette supporting mechanism resets the ribbon cassette supporting mechanism when the ribbon cassette supporting mechanism no longer contacts the ribbon cassette mounting mechanism and the ribbon cassette shifting mechanism.

    • A system and method provide server side support for seamless, scalable rewind and playback of a video stream. A video stream is stored and indexed in a network storage place. A video stream can be indexed at frame level where each intra frame of the video stream has an index indicating the file offset and the time stamp of the intra frame in the video stream. A user request for rewinding of a video stream while the video stream is being broadcast is processed by extracting the rewinding time requirement from the user request. The extracted rewinding time value is used to calculate the requested file offset. The video stream starting at the requested time is retrieved and played back according to the user request. The system also provides server side support for seamless rewinding of a video stream and scalable system performance across multiple streaming data centers.

    • This invention discloses a process for synthesizing a modified crosslinked elastomeric particle which comprises a two-step polymerization of a conjugated diolefin monomer and a vinyl aromatic monomer by emulsion polymerization, wherein the particle is synthesized by the steps of (1) polymerizing a conjugated diolefin monomer, alone or in combination with a vinyl aromatic monomer, and optionally a crosslinking monomer, to create a crosslinked elastomeric core having residual double bonds and an outer surface; (2) polymerizing a monomer of a vinyl aromatic monomer, alone or in combination with a diolefin monomer, to create a polymeric shell, wherein the polymeric shell is grafted to the outer surface of the polymeric core by reacting with the residual double bonds of the polymeric core; and (3) coagulating the core-shell emulsion latex solution to recover the particles.
