摘要： PURPOSE:To surely perform a required inspection on a pipe even when its adjacent pipe is brought into contact with the pipe by fitting a pair of arms to the machine body of a pipe inspecting device after forming the arms to different lengths so that front ends of the arms can be positions to prescribed different locations in an inspecting state. CONSTITUTION:Front end sections 4B of arms 4 fitted with reversible rollers 8 are fitted to based end sections 4A of the arms 4 through the volt 30 in removable states so that the sections 4B can be exchanged with other front end sections 4B having different lengths. When, for instance, an adjacent pipe 1 contacts with a pipe 1 to be inspected, the front end sections 4B having different lengths are used. By using the sections 4B having different lengths, the machine body 3 of the pipe inspecting device is fitted to the pipe 1 to be inspected, with the shorter arm 4 being positioned on the side nearer to the machine body 3 and the longer arm 4 farther from the machine body 3 against the plane F passing through the central axis of the adjacent pipe 1, after the fitting position of the machine body 3 is turned by about 45 deg. in the peripheral direction of the pipe 1 to be inspected. Therefore, the machine body 3 can run in the length direction of the pipe 1 to be inspected.
