    • A displacement control valve includes an electromagnetic solenoid and a drive force transmitting body. A pressure sensing chamber communicates with a suction chamber and a pressure sensing body is located in the pressure sensing chamber. An internal passage is provided in the transmitting body and an external passage is provided about the transmitting body. The first to third valve bodies are provided at the transmitting body. The first valve body adjusts a cross-sectional area of a passage between the external passage and the internal passage. The second valve body adjusts a cross-sectional area of a passage between the internal passage and the pressure sensing chamber. The third valve body adjusts a cross-sectional area of a passage between the external passage and a discharge chamber. The transmitting body is switched among first, second, and third arrangement states by the electromagnetic solenoid. With the transmitting body at the first arrangement state, the third valve body is at an open position when.the first valve body is at a closed position. With the transmitting body at the second arrangement state, the first valve body is at an open position when the third valve body is at a closed position. With the transmitting body at the third arrangement state, both of the first and third valve bodies are at the open position.

    • A swash plate compressor that prevents a slide plate from being separated from a swash plate. The compressor (10) includes a drive shaft (16). A slide plate (51) is rotatable relative to the swash plate (18). Two shoes (30A, 30B) is arranged on the swash plate and the slide plate. A bearing (53) arranged between the swash plate and the slide plate and in between the shoes. A piston (28) is connected to the swash plate and the slide plate by the shoes and is reciprocated to compress gas. The swash plate includes a swash plate support surface (18b), and the slide plate includes a slide plate support surface (51b), in which each surface is for contacting the bearing. The swash plate is formed so that a clearance (CL) between the swash plate support surface and the slide plate support surface increases radially inwardly of the swash plate and the slide plate.

    • A first bleed passage and a second bleed passage each connect a crank chamber of a compressor with a suction chamber of the compressor. A first supply passage and a second supply passage each connect the crank chamber with a discharge chamber of the compressor. A first control valve adjusts the opening size of the first supply passage in response to the pressure in the suction chamber. A second control valve includes a ball valve and an electromagnetic actuator. The ball valve adjusts the opening size of the second supply passage and the opening size of the first bleed passage. The electromagnetic actuator moves the ball valve. The ball valve is moved to a first position and to a second position. At the first position, the ball valve closes the second supply passage and opens the first bleed passage. At the second position, the ball valve opens the second supply passage and closes the first bleed passage. A displacement control device, which includes the first and second control valves, readily and reliably changes the displacement of the compressor.
