摘要： A system and method for providing broadcast traffic according to the location of an access terminal (AT) are provided. The AT determines whether a registration request for soft combining from an access network transceiver system (ANTS) belonging to a candidate set is present when an overhead message is received from the ANTS or the candidate set is changed. The AT is configured to add the ANTS to a registration list for the soft combining when the request is present. The AT sends to the ANTS a broadcast registration message at a transmission time point after setting the transmission time point to send the broadcast registration message including a broadcast/multicast service (BCMCS) service provision request for the soft combining. A network provides the AT with the overhead message including information about neighbor ANTSs and information about ANTSs for which the soft combining on broadcast traffic is enabled.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for generating a public long code mask (PLCM) so that a mobile station can receive a Broadcast/Multicast Service (BCMCS), in a mobile communication system including a base station and at least one mobile station located in a cell occupied by the base station, the BCMCS being provided from the base station to the mobile station. The PLCM is created by a combining a BCMCS flow identifier (BCMC_FLOW_ID) and a BCMC service reference identifier (BSR_ID) matched thereto from a BCMCS service parameter message (BSPM) including information related to the BCMC_FLOW_IDs indicating individual flow IDs for identifying flows from respective broadcasting stations and BSR_IDs matched to the BCMC_FLOW_IDs, the BSPM being transmitted from the base station to the mobile station over at least one channel.

摘要： A method and apparatus for assigning resources to perform communication in a base station of a wireless communication system that assigns persistent resources and transmits a packet using the persistent resources are provided. A user buffer stores user data to be delivered to a terminal. A controller assigns the persistent resources, when a type of the data stored in the user buffer requires the persistent resources, sets one frame boundary using a predetermined number of transmission slots, and transmits an initial transmission sub-packet at a start slot of the frame boundary, or at a transmission slot upon receiving an Acknowledgement signal over a response channel in response to the transmitted packet. A transmission processor transmits, to the terminal, the user data stored in the user buffer, and Packet Start Indicator information.

The method includes the steps of mapping the channel state information to a value stored in a channel state information table. The mapping is determined by a range of traffic-to-pilot ratio (TPR) values. The TPR values are determined according to an encoder packet site packet data rate relation.
