    • An electric motor that includes a contact arc inducing apparatus is described. The electric motor includes an input terminal configured for coupling with a relay that includes contacts that are electrically coupled when closed and separated by an air gap when open. The input terminal configured to receive power from the relay when the contacts are closed, wherein a predefined arc voltage and arc current facilitate an electric discharge across the contacts when the contacts are transitioned from closed to open. The contact arc inducing apparatus is coupled to the input terminal and configured to provide to the input terminal a current greater than the arc current of the relay and a voltage greater than the arc voltage of the relay during a contact bounce.

    • A power supply circuit is disclosed in embodiments of the present invention, which includes: a voltage output device, configured to generate an output voltage; a parasitic resistance, connected between an output end of the voltage output device and an external load, where two ends of the parasitic resistance generate a voltage drop; and a compensation circuit, connected to the output end of the voltage output device and configured to generate a compensation voltage, where the compensation voltage is loaded onto the voltage output device, so as to offset the voltage drop generated by the parasitic resistance, so that a voltage obtained at an input end of the load is roughly equal to the output voltage generated by the voltage output device. The circuit is applicable to improving load regulation of a power supply.

    • A current-fed DC-DC converter has a topology that improves converter performance and operates an input inductor in continuous conduction mode. The configuration and operation of the converter produces reduced requirements for circuit component ratings and leads to faster transient response time than conventional current-fed DC-DC converters. The converter can operate as an apparent current-fed full bridge converter in one stage, and an apparent current-fed half bridge converter in another stage. The input inductor is configured and operated to release stored energy to the load in conjunction with other energy storage components to provide a continuous output current that significantly reduces output voltage ripple, leading to reduced rating requirements and output components. The converter topology permits a portion of the switching stage to operate with no deadtime to further improve circuit responsiveness and efficiency.
