In order to supply electric drive energy to the compressor unit serving to generate compressed air for the air cushions, a higher frequency alternating current is superimposed on the current supplied to the windings along the track, with the higher frequency alternating current being coupled by a transformer effect into the winding on the vehicle. The energy can be coupled out there by means of a rectifier and be made available for feeding the electric motor of the compressor unit.

    • The invention relates to a half bridge module (10) which is arranged in an electrically insulating cooling liquid, and in which two semiconductor switches (19, 22) form a half bridge. The first semiconductor switch (14) can be connected to a source terminal having a high voltage potential, and the second semiconductor switch (20) can be connected with the drain terminal thereof to a lower voltage potential. The drain terminal of each first semiconductor switch (14) is connected to the source terminal of the respective second semiconductor switch (20). Respective first semiconductor switches (14) are arranged with the source terminal thereof on a common first conducting bar (60) which can be connected to the high voltage potential. Respective second semiconductor switches (20) are arranged with the source terminal thereof on a second conducting bar (62) which forms the output. Said second conducting bar is arranged next to the first conducting bar (60) in an interspaced manner. Each second semiconductor switch (20) is connected with the drain terminal thereof to a common third conducting bar (66) which can be connected to the lower voltage potential and which is arranged next to the first (60) and second conducting bars (62) in an interspaced manner. The inventive half bridge module also comprises a capacitor arrangement having a back up capacitor (52) which is connected to the first (60) and third conducting bars (66).
