    • The invention concerns a plaster-protective cover for bathroom fittings mounted recessed in the wall, the cover being fixed to the buried part of the fitting and having an outwards-facing dome-shaped cap designed to protect the fitting parts inside it. The aim of the invention is to improve the sealing round the hole pierced in the wall for the fitting. To this end, the invention calls for the protective cover (5) to be surrounded by a collar-like sealing element (3, 13) which produces a watertight seal and which has, at the wall end, an annular flange (11) which rests against the wall (8). The flange (11) is embedded in a layer (2) of sealing material applied following installation of the buried part of the fitting (10) as the bed layer for subsequently laid tiling (1), and the flange thus seals off the edge of the hole pierced in the wall for the buried part of the fitting.
