    • PURPOSE:To obtain a X-ray pickup device having good operability and high resolution by selecting a diameter of the maximum input visual field of a X-ray fluorescent multiplier tube, a diameter of an output image, and a ratio of both the diameters from a specific value range respectively. CONSTITUTION:High resolution of a X-ray I I is needed for improving resolution of a X-ray pickup device, and the resolution of the whole X-ray I I can be bettered when a diameter of an output image of an output fluorescent screen of the X-ray I I is selected to 50-60mm. An image on an input fluorescent screen is reductionally imaged on the output fluorescent screen in the X-ray I I, consequently a ratio of both has a great influence on the resolution. A diameter of the maximum inlet visual field, nearly equal to an aperture dimension of the X-ray I I, is made the X-ray I I for actual time digital radiography, 10-18in., and a reduction rate M of 5-7 times is selected. A dimension in a depth direction is limited to 700-800mm when the X-ray I I and a distributor are connected, enabling the X-ray pickup device to be mounted on a former TV camera. This constitution can obtain the X-ray pickup device having good operability and high resolution.

    • PURPOSE: To read density information of wide dynamic range using a reading system of narrow dynamic range by irradiating light from a light source on a picture information storage medium, reading the density by a picture information reading system changing its sensitivity, and at the same time, forecasting reading sensitivity of next picture element from read data of adjoining picture element and sending out switching signals of reading sensitivity successively.
CONSTITUTION: A picture information reading system 1 reads changing reading sensitivity for density of a picture properly. Light is irradiated from alight source 6 such as laser, etc. on a picture information storage medium such as an X-ray film or a picture storage plate etc., and transmitted light or reflected light is received by a variable sensitivity reading device 8 and read. A reading sensitivity forecasting circuit 2 detects the difference between read data of read adjoining picture elements, and forecasts and outputs sensitivity at the time of reading next picture element. Thus, by sending out successively switching signals S
1 of reading sensitivity according to a forecasted reading sensitivity value, the density information of the picture information storage medium 7 of wide dynamic range is read by a reading system of narrow dynamic range.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the variation of photodetecting efficiency which is due to the unevenness of optical systems by constituting a light guide so that a scatting space or a scattering body for dispersing incident light into the light guide on the light incidence side is formed and other surfaces except the surface on the projection side reflect light internally without leaking the light to the outside.
CONSTITUTION: The light guide 8 is a carrying means for carrying a picture vertically to the scanning direction of light flux and the scattering body 9 consisting of a translucent resin and dispersing light into the light guide 8 leads the light to a photoelectric converter 11. The front side of the incident side and the outlet of the projection side are finely ground to prevent light from attenuation and the sides are prepared for internal reflection. When it is defined that the ratio of light led into the photoelectric converter 11 and converted into an electric signal to a fixed light from a light source is the photodetecting efficiency, the capacity of the light source 1 can be reduced in accordance with the reduction of dispersion and attenuation in an optical path on the way and the improvement of the photodetecting efficiency, and in case of the same capacity of the light source, the gain of a preamplifier 12 can be reduced, so that the influence of noises generated in the preamplifier circuit can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE: To remove the variation of a distribution ratio generated due to the difference of a polarized surface of a beam including picture information or an incident angle and to hold a wide dynamic range by dividing the beam at its section into plural parts and distributing the divided beams to respective detectors.
CONSTITUTION: A laser beam radiated from a light source scans the surface of a film 6 linearly through respective parts 2∼4. The whole surface of the film 6 can be scanned with the laser beam by carrying the film 6 in the shown arrow direction and its transmitted light becmoes the laser beam including the picture information. Since two photodiodes are dividedly arranged as shown in the drawing, the laser beam is distributed into two light flux. In this case, the laser beams are made incident upon the surfaces 7 from the same direction (vertical direction). In the dividing method, the distribution ratio based upon the polarizing surfaces of the laser beam incident upon the surfaces 7 is not changed. Then, obtained optical current is inputted to amplifiers 8a, 8b.

    • PURPOSE: To read out effective picture information over a wide density range by changing the quantity of incident light in stages in accordance with the dynamic range of a photodetector system, dividing the picture information into proper density areas to read out the information and then synthesizing the divided pictures.
CONSTITUTION: Optical beam scanning is adjusted so as to be executed twice during the sending of one picture element width of a film 9 and low density incident light and high density incident light are held in the 1st and 2nd scanning respectively. In each scanning, light corresponding to the density of a film is inputted to a photoelectric vonverter 12 and converted into an electric signal, which is logarithmically amplified, inverted and inputted to an A/D converter 15. The output of the converter 15 is switched by a switch 16 and stored in a low or high density data buffer 17 or 18. The output of the buffer 17 is compared with a constant by a comparator 21 and switched by a switch 23 to select data in each picture element. The value of low-density incident light can be calculated by adding a constant A corresponding to the difference between low density and high density to high-density data. Thus, effective picture information can be read out over a wide density range.
